Note - Duke will likely be a #1 seed, but their resume just isn't in the same realm as Alabama, Auburn, Florida or even Houston, Texas A&M and Tennessee at this point. And because of that a formula that uses resume/wins above bubble as a 60% input is not going to put them there.
Q1 Wins
Auburn - 14
Alabama - 8
Tennessee - 8
Texas A&M - 7
Houston - 6
Duke - 5
Florida - 5
Q1+2 Wins
Auburn - 17
Alabama - 15
Texas A&M - 14
Florida - 12
Houston - 12
Tennessee - 11
Duke - 9
Wins Above Bubble Rank
1. Auburn
2. Alabama
3. Florida
4. Tennessee
5. Texas A&M
6. Houston
7. Duke

It’s getting harder to make the case for Oklahoma as time wears on.

Agree - I'd personally have them out as of today. Probably in the next 4 out.

I looked at AU first and saw Baylor/BYU as the second round match up and didn’t like that, but Memphis/UConn would be a terrible second round draw for a 1 seed.

Yea - seem to be a lot of 7-10 seed teams that have pretty high variance. Recipe for some 2nd round upsets.
Also just realized I have BYU in there twice and left somebody out. Oh well, apologies to whoever they are

Just because Oklahoma has a few decent Q1 OOC wins doesn’t mean that should save them from being a bubble team. There are plenty of other programs deserving. At this point, Sooners would be robbing a more deserving team to get in. Only way OU gets in now is if they pull a 2008 Georgia.

Well that's not true, but the way they've played the last 6 weeks suggests they there is very little chance they capitalize on their remaining regular season opportunities.

That is for sure. Also, your SOGology layout is solid stuff. You always do great work.

Drawing the 2 time defending national champions in the 2nd round as a 1 seed has to be the worst 2nd round draw for a 1 seed since Calipari’s all star 8 seeded KY team that made the NC game (they were carried by freshman, so took time to gel that year).
Only difference was KY was heavy on players and light on coaching, while UConn will be heavy on coaching and light on players this year.

Yeah but he’s the “best coach in the fricking sport!”

I'd just like to make it out of the first weekend. That's the expectation this season, I think for most Kentucky fans.

How is OU even in the discussion? One bracket had them as a 9 seed.
They’ve lost 4 in a row and 9 of their last 12 and haven’t lost any ground. What am I missing? They are in second to last place in the SEC.
I guess conference games don’t count?

Their strong non-con is keeping them afloat, but they are losing ground quickly.

They have 4 Q1 wins and only 1 Q3/4 loss. But everyday that OOC run (which included a bunch of wins at neutral sites that aged very well - #9 Arizona, #19 Michigan, #27 Louisville) becomes less and less a part of the overall pie.
Losing at home to LSU was the last thing they could afford.

Arizona has lost 8 games and the last two
Against, conference play doesn’t matter apparently. In what world can you lose 9 of last 12 and not lose any ground in seeding.

No, conference play is not looked at in a silo.
