Giving Bruce his flowers

First I know at times I've been harsh on Bruce (justifiably imo) & ill continue to be when i feel its warranted. Hes making millions to coach basketball. Im sure he can handle it.
but this thread is about giving him his flowers. I can remember the days where if Auburn was even mentioned being on the bubble i was happy. This era of Auburn basketball 2018-present is the most consistent successful program we've ever had in any sport. With only maybe the 80s football having a real argument against it, him and pat dye are the greatest 2 coaches in Auburn sports history (imo) That's a debate that will be over if this team wins the national title. Thanks you for coming to and caring about Auburn Bruce.

Scoper,
You have a role to play on this board and this ain't it. Bring on the negatiger takes, we need them to balance things.

Eh I can’t get past the first sentence. Should say “(unjustifiably)”
Given that the word you used there was “harsh”… if you were just using the word “critical” instead of “harsh” I could accept it.. but there is no justifying being harsh on our basketball GOAT

You should be strapped to a chair, with your eyelids taped open and have to watch every single Auburn basketball game during the Jeff Lebo/Tony Barbee years, just like most of us did, to have the right to start a thread about Bruce Pearl. Until you do that, I’m not listening to anything you have to say

Bruce doesn't need to win a national title to be mentioned in the same breath as Pat Dye. He's already earned that place in Auburn lore even if he doesn't win another game.
Auburn had already been a powerhouse in its football history several times before Dye came and after he left.
Bruce, on the other hand, is the only basketball coach who has taken Auburn basketball to places it's never been and places we could only fantasize about.
David Marsh is the greatest coach in Auburn sports history and it's not even close.

Marsh was the head coach at Auburn from 1990-2007, leading the Tigers to an unparalleled run of success with seven men's NCAA team championships (1997, '99, 2003, '04, '05, '06, '07) and five women's NCAA team championships (2002, '03, '04, '06, '07). He amassed 17 SEC titles (13 men's, four women's) while at Auburn.

Who?
I’m sorry every time I hear that name my vision goes red and I enter a fugue state.

I haven't watched Auburn swimming in 35 years. I'll take your word for it.

Bruce is the best we could have gotten and he has delivered 1000%… his only issue over the past few years was guard play and we have gotten over that himp this year… we are winning, we are getting the highest level recruits ever at AU… build a statue and praise Bruce because he earns his keep. Win a NC and he could be considered the greatest coach ever at AU

Auburn vs Penn at the BJCC, 99-00. Penn had a guy named Michael Jordan on the roster and I found that hilarious. Porter had a bad game. Only scored 4.
Fun night because UAB beat Fresno too and Tark the Shark was on the sideline.

You don't have to take my word for jingling.
It's in the Auburn, SEC, and NCAA record books.
