The Greg Brooks situation is horrible. But Brian Kelly has some experience with player lawsuits.

Douglas Randolph Suing Notre Dame, Claims MRI Results Concealed

quote:

A former Notre Dame football player is suing the university for allegedly concealing results from an MRI and instructing him to keep playing while he was risking a spinal cord injury.

A lawsuit filed by former Fighting Irish linebacker Douglas Randolph, obtained by The Indianapolis Star, states that Notre Dame did not provide results of an MRI that Randolph underwent after experiencing "numbness in his upper extremities" stemming from a hit in a practice drill in September 2015. Randolph played the entire 2015 season and later was diagnosed with spinal stenosis. He also might have permanent nerve damage in his neck, according to the lawsuit.

Paul Brown, a spokesman for Notre Dame, said in a statement Thursday that the university was "completely confident'' that its athletics doctors and trainers provided proper medical care to the plantiff in this case.

Kelly said after practice on Thursday that he was surprised by the lawsuit.

"I know the kind of quality health care we provide. We've got outstanding doctors. That's our mission here is to provide the very best health care to our student-athletes. And whatever's in their best interest,'' Kelly said.

Two lawsuits from former players in just six years shows a real will to win.

Why does the same college football coach keep getting sued.

What an unfortunate coincidence for the little fellow.

That is a good question. Googling “Douglas Randolph settlement” or “dismissal” comes up with nothing new. It does appear he is a financial adviser in Virginia, maybe he is managing all the money from his settlement.

I can’t find the result of the lawsuit. Do you know what the legal judgement was?

Brian Kelly leading Deboer in former player lawsuits 2-1.

Brian Kelly leading Deboer in former videographer deaths 1-0.

Brian Kelly leading Deboer in abused tables 1-0.

Don’t say that Brian Kelly has a losing record against Deboer.

That's sad. Brian Kelly is a psychopath, apparently. I bet none of his real children or wife love him; it's all about his money.

How can a human being coach all these children over the seasons and not give a damn about any of them and view them as dispensable?

He must have zero genuine human emotions. I knew the bastard was a disingenuous manipulator when he starting blathering in a fake Southern accent about his fam-u-lee.

All the ignorant and desperate LSU fans sucked up that act like he was the next coming of Jesus but, everyone else in the nation could tell he was just using the dumb bayou coonasses for a payday.

When is this former Washington player going to be on Good Morning America claiming Washington ruined his life?

Unlike Kelly, Smart is a good Southern man with a human soul.

Maybe all the SEC coaches could get together and send Brooks Jr. some money and well wishes and talk to his family?

That would be a great gesture. LSU fans, admin, coaches, etc... sure as hell don't give a frick about him. Even though Saban is not involved in coaching any longer, I bet he would help out also. He has always tried to help people with his charities, including Nick's Kids and the soon to be Saban Center.
