Just read this article:
https://247sports.com/article/ole-miss-rebels-vaught-hemingway-stadium-enhance-plans-back-on-table-ad-keith-carter-245163383/

Could those enhancement plans be back on the table? According to Ole Miss vice chancellor for intercollegiate athletics Keith Carter, they are.

"That's something that we're actually kind of behind the scenes looking at," Carter told Inside the Rebels in an exlcusive interview. "I think that we're going to have to get creative there. Obviously, we love our stadium and it's been the site of many great homes wins. There is a lot of history and tradition with Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

Anyone hear what they are thinking about doing? The last plan was to tear down an entire side and rebuild it and that would take well over a year to make it happen. I'm guessing that's not going to be an option?

I wish they would do something or shut up about it

Every year or so we get an article they’re looking at changes bc it’s so different

Then we get An article saying they put the idea on the back burner

Now they’re bringing it back up. They’ll look at costs and decide if it’s worth it and blah blah

We’ll get renderings of potential plans and they’ll look great and get the fan base all excited and weighing on which plans they should go with. And then they’ll decide to not do anything bc the timing isn’t right or the landscape of athletics isn’t conducive to wholesale stadium upgrades

Stop polishing the turd. Just tear the thing down and build something better. Please.

I don't understand why we don't do what Texas A&M did when they rebuilt their entire stadium. Go with an erector set stadium and polish it up with some brick and concrete. The only thing that really needs to be concreted is the stands, the superstructure underneath can be steel. It's much much faster and much more cost effective.

That was a $485 million renovation. We still need coaches and players to put inside the stadium. Those are far more important right now to the success of our program.

They are going to look at the renovation again soon.

I think they’ll wait and see how all these house settlements and legal proceedings all shake out officially before they go with a massive tens/hundreds of million dollar upgrade and see exactly how the NIL and overall landscape will change

One thing.. quit scheduling shite games.. wanna improve the fan experience? Quit wasting everyone’s fricking time with scrub teams we beat by 50 points. Doesn’t do any good and it’s a waste of time

9-3 and 8-4 are the same . I’d much rather lose a game against a top tier opponent that’s at least competitive and interesting than beat some scrub team for a little better Florida bowl opportunity if we don’t get in the playoff .

I agree with your points but for the schedule, that's not going to happen. Not with the Big 10 playing 90% of their schedule against terrible teams.

The plans for the West side of the stadium were really nice. Aside from the funding issue, another problem is how long it would take. I remember it being said that it would el take over a year to get done.

Very fair. Moreso wishful thinking from my selfish perspective as a fan.

It’s clearly not stopped fan interest yet a ticket sales are as high as ever and attendance is solid even for the crappy games . We only get 12 games, I just want the best possible games rather than 1/3 being blowouts and wastes of time where the season doesn’t really start until
October like this past year

Keep in mind, those blowout games are great practice to test out new plays and see how personnel on the third string look against live competition.

They were nice but seeing that they are about to build suites on top of the press box, I'm pretty sure those plans have been scrapped.

I couldn't imagine paying to sit that high up and thinking it's "premium". But probably came from the same person that thought Club 41-11 at Swayze was a good idea.

It's still lower than the premium suites at LSU and Tennessee.

If this was general admission, it would be sold out frequently.

But they're not premium seats. I got the tour the year they came out with it and I was underwhelmed

Doesn’t look as bad as I thought but it’s still putting lipstick on a pig. We need to just demolish that side of the stadium and rebuild it

So not tearing it down for at least 10 years after. Hopfully they will do the other side the same.
