Cruising for a downvote I know but it's been very cathartic seeing the CFP semis decided by dropped 3rd & 5 passes. Just saying.
And now even Lord Monken's dual threat QB, clearly better than Buffalo team crashing out of the playoffs thanks to a dropped pass. It puts the message board geniuses into perspective

Are you defending bobo in some weird round about way?

Not at all. I was pretty dissatisfied with the offense all year & felt it was dysfunctional for most of the season.
Just saying it's nice to see that it's plaguing more than just UGA this year, especially amidst all the hand wringing we've seen on the forums.

The game has passed him by.

I forget who said it, but there is a bunch of bad things that can happen in the passing game:
1. the QB can get sacked
2. the QB can fumble the ball
3. the QB can throw an uncatchable ball
4. the QB can throw an INT
5. the QB can throw an accurate pass and the receiver fails to make the catch
6. the Receiver can fumble the ball when he gets hit
So the only good thing that can happen is the receiver catching the ball which is very difficult on a long pass with good pass coverage.
As such, I suggest recruiting a Todd Gurley level RB and a badass OL and run the ball.

Dooley once reportedly said that only three things can happen when you pass the ball and two of them are bad. Catch, no catch or interception….he was a man so he kept things simple with limited words.
This explains our offenses under his tenure.

Monken was bludgeoning the bills d line, more funny he tried a pass on a super slick field and a wet ball.

And as the announcers stated, "Andrews is likely to catch that ball 99% of the time."
Both of those games were played on sloppy fields. All you can do is hope that your team makes fewer mistakes, slips less and fumbles less than the other team.

99% on a dry field, he already has another bad drop.
You have to coach different when the ball is wet.

Lamar Jackson gets paid way, way, way too much money ($52M per season) to be as stupidly reckless with the ball as he was at times yesterday. He turned the ball over 3 times. The Ravens should be furious with him.

Not sure you are good at critical thinking but seems like apples and oranges since Monken is leading OC in the NFL this season and Bobo regressed the GA offense this year and last.
Your argument might have some validity if Bobo had won OC of the year and had our numbers up.
Leading 140+ teams in drops for an SEC powerhouse is most definitely on the coaches and it starts with the WR coach, bubbles up to Bobo, then to Kirby.
Starting to think that Peter Buck might actually be Bobo posting on the rant

Our WRS and TEs weren't FCS level guys, they were 4 and 5 star guys. No reason to have drops at that level.

That is my point, bad coaching is the only explanation.
We have never seen such talent drop so many balls and to that awful.
For that stat alone, the entire offensive coaching staff should be gone, that is how bad it was. Add that to the worst Oline play with 4 star players we have seen in Kirby's tenure. Catalina wine mixer experiment failure levels were reached.

Much like a baseball player is more our to hit a ball they can see clearly before the pitchers release, I think maybe we suffered the same in football.

The shitty running game is on Searles and Kirby for hiring him. We saw a few glimpses of a sputtering offense a few times last season. It was usually the running game, or lack of at certain times. This season, as we all know, is a hot mess on offense. Even the defense showed weakness almost every game. Kirby is the boss so, it's on him to fix. I hope he can/does.

Listen… I don’t make the Rant rules. If a team doesn’t win it all and the offense has drops that cause the team to lose, we have no choice. We have to fire that motherfricker. If we start to use critical thinking for one guy and not the other, we. Lose the way of the rant. It is cut and dry.
