Random stat, but all-time weeks spent in the AP Top 2:

246- Kentucky
235- Duke
215- UCLA
194- North Carolina
194- Kansas
——GIANT GAP——
83- Indiana
72- UConn
69- Arizona
63- Cincinnati

The SEC:

28- Arkansas (#27 nationally)
21- Florida (#32)
16- Texas (#36)
15- Auburn (#39)
14- Oklahoma (#41)
12- Missouri (#46)
12- Tennessee (#46)
11- Alabama (#48)
9- South Carolina (#51)
2- LSU
1- Vanderbilt

Auburn entered the season with just 8 such appearances. AU has passed South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee, Missouri, and Oklahoma all-time so far this season…. A win Saturday would move us even with Texas. And with sustained run this season, AU could pass Florida by season’s end.

Truly an epic run so far for this AU team.

It disturbs me greatly that Duke is second, and so close.

Kind of interesting factoid but I’m pretty sure Auburn ended Carolina’s top 2 ranking streak in the 1970s and I don’t think Carolina returned to the top 5 until 1997 in the SECT where they lost to Alabama

I'm very surprised that LSU and Vandy are so low.

Your "epic" run's coming to a close this Saturday with a thud!

Georgia beats Auburn this Saturday according to my flawless crystal ball......

We have historically been disrespected in the polls even when we’re good IMO. Even in 2019 when we ripped through the SEC we still were ranked behind UK and Tennessee with the same overall record, better conference record and had beaten both head to head.

Another stat…

All-time appearances in AP Top 5:

472- Kentucky
442- North Carolina
440- Duke
414- Kansas
327- UCLA
——— Giant Gap ———
179- Indiana
174- Arizona
149- Ohio State
142- UConn
136- Louisville

Other SEC:

72- Oklahoma
65- Arkansas
56- Florida
51- Texas
50- Tennessee
46- Missouri
43- Alabama
41- Auburn
33- Vanderbilt
30- South Carolina
20- LSU
15- Miss St
2- Texas A&M
0- Ole Miss
0- Georgia

Auburn has already passed by Vandy this season. It is reasonable to believe we could pass Bama within 3 weeks. A long shot, but catching Tennessee and Texas isn’t out of the realm of possibility this season.
