I gotta admit, the spirit of Mizzou posters around here is commendable given they have a 50k stadium. You would think Mizzou has no fans.
But every day, you can count on Mizzou threads. I'll give it to them for that.

I don't know why I am responding to this bait. But for a serious answer, Mizzou has always had the potential to be a good program and it's just starting to be realized thanks to a combination of being a member of the SEC, an administration that sees the value in a strong athletics program, a pretty deep-pocketed alumni base finally opening up the checkbooks, and having a head coach who can recruit well. It's also the only major program in a state of over six million people.
The real commentary here is you gotta admit that the program should never have been as historically awful and neglected as it was from the 70s through at least the late 90s. There was absolutely no investment in athletics for decades, so not surprisingly the fanbase wasn't that great and the school didn't attract top talent to compete for championships (or even winning seasons).

I live in Missouri and see more gear from other schools than Mizzou here.

Missouri is underrated as a state, outside of the big cities and the Bootheel.

The bootheel sucks?

It's generally just an extension of the Arkansas and Mississippi Delta, a lot of poverty and crime.

Nathan, did Daman Wilson owe you some money or something? He can probably pay you back now, if so.

Not really

The only reason Missouri got stuck with the bootheel is due to the owner of the land refusing to let his land be part of r-kansas.
So, yeah...no one wants to be part of r-kansas.

Ah, finally a "Yer state is a shithole" post on SEC rant...
It's been way to long since we had one of those on here.
