Saw this on Twitter and ran the numbers for myself, I was legitimately impressed and baffled at the same time.

Across his time in D1, DeBoer is:

Vs Top 10 Opponents
5-1
.833

Vs Unranked Teams
41-11
.731

How is this dude 10% more likely to lose to an unranked team than a top 10 team?

If you're concerned about the small sample size of top 10 wins, he has the exact same win percentage against ranked teams, with a 15-3 record.

Most trends are the opposite, a guy like BK for instance.

Give DeBoer credit though, he's absolutely elite vs good teams.

it’s irrelevant if you can’t make the playoffs and you can’t beat teams like Vanderbilt

You don't have to make threads constantly you know. You can just take a break and wait for some better inspiration.

I've created exactly three more threads than you this calendar year.

We can't all have coaches who are 3-6 vs top 10 teams pretty impressive to win 67% more games in only 67% of the chances.

Ultimate Big 12 type coach really. Play loose against great teams.

Play like shite in games that require discipline.

Motivating your team to get up for lesser games is a coaching skill. One Debeor clearly lacks.

Suddenly Brian Kelly's long-term strategy at LSU begins to make a lot more sense.

Wasn't trying to troll, there are much better angles to do that from.

As mentioned, DeBoer is elite vs top 10 opposition where BK is pretty bad.

Would you say that’s better than being unemployable due to having 4 DWI’s + a felony cocaine possession?

You should change your name to Drop da Soap

DeBoer made the 4 team playoff at Washington and made it to the Championship game. I'd say that's relevant.
