literally.
Without Alabama and one if its citizens, Vanderbilt University doesn't exist, much less the football team.
Also, it is believed that members of the Vanderbilt family could discontinue the university if they continue to beat Alabama in football, so watch it.

In 1873 Crawford persuaded her husband, Cornelius Vanderbilt, to give $1 million to Bishop Holland Nimmons McTyeire, the husband of her cousin, Amelia Townsend, to found Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.
Cornelius saw this gift as a sign of reconciliation to the South, after he had helped defeat the Confederate States Army with his USS Vanderbilt during the Civil War. However, he never visited the university.

The story is told that her father's law partner was Frank Armstrong. They had a bet that the next child would be named Frank Armstrong Crawford. It was a girl and she was named Frank Armstrong Crawford, after the law partner.

Vandy beating Alabama in a football game shows a great lack of gratitude is what I'm saying. It's crass and low-class.

Mobile once served as the capitol of Louisiana. Then one day the fine residents opted to sever their ties completely with that specific third world entity and understandably so.
Gulf Shores would look like Mogadishu if the Cajuns took over.

Vanderbilt fans are well aware of this reality. That’s why we pull for Alabama except when they play us.

And then, like a dirty shrimp peeling hooker with various tropic swamp STD's from Village de l’Est, they stole Mardi Gras from Mobile.

It has been an unfortunate time with Milroe.
The time in history when a player could just be removed from a position is over. If a player has the locker room, there isn't anything a coach or even an AD can do to remove him if he doesn't want to be removed.
The players may strike or they may invite outside organizations in to support their viewpoints or whatever grievances they have, disregarding that they may be shitty players but have a lot of friends and are a "good person".
