What is this narrative that Notre Dame is suddenly great because they're in a semifinal?

BK had them in a semifinal twice.

And they got absolutely gutted both times. Already, Freeman has more playoff wins than BK

Well yeah.

BK faced 2020 Alabama and 2018 Clemson, they went a combined 28-0 and both won the natty.

2024 Indiana had one win over a team with a winning record
2024 Georgia had two losses and a backup quarterback

Different eras. Those other teams that Kelly lost to would also blast this ND team. I watched my mediocre trojans go up and down the field on this ND team. GA should be ashamed of themselves

He left them an 11-1 team. My word. The dude beat Indiana and a QB-less UGA. They haven’t done anything but make final 4. Their SOS was 78th in nation. They lost to Northern Illinois. I didn’t hear you MOFO chirping after Northern Illinois game. Crickets.

Not a knock on Brian Kelly but I really like ND coach. He seems very humble and a great leader. I know he was an unknown but he has accounted for himself really well. At his young age I’d rather him than some of these older coaches with more mileage.

He hasn’t killed anyone either, that’s always a plus

He's doing a good job however the narrative would be a bit different if there wasn't an extended playoff, they'd be sitting at home because he lost to a MAC team.

Or hide 100 burner phones having phone sex with prostitutes while thumping the Bible.

Nick Saban lost to ULM. Ed Orgeron lost to Troy. This guy is a really good coach and he’s young. I’d take him over most coaches in the SeC right now.

So the 2020 season counts now?

Rationalization, justification, minimization, and mental masturbation.

The problem is that was only one of his G5 losses, he's had multiple. And he took over a successful program, they weren't rebuilding like 2007 Alabama.

Yep, all Kelly is doing is getting older (63), slower, and lazier. He has never been a big game coach anyway.
