Need our OL'men to get in better shape. Especially the Tackles.

Our Oline struggles with quick strong D linemen. I know DE's are especially hard to block but the last two years we seem to struggle considering the star level accross the O line.

I'd like to see them lose a few pounds and gain more quickness. DeBoer has got to develop a running game. (is it scheme? line coach? conditioning?)

Our guys may have been put in bad situations with our QB. If we just had better run game to make play action work....i dunno.

I loved the way our defense played with the DB's we lost from last year.

DeBoer will get enough time to show what he's got. (too much money to fire him)...and i want to give hime enough time to fully get "his" guys coached up.

At the end of the day Proctor is better suited for guard. He's built like Landon Dickerson. I just don't think Pritchett is that good.

You saw the archetype that Deboer wants at tackle in the recruiting class. Jackson Lloyd is a current 280 that will grow to 310, 3 sport star, etc. Haywood, prior to his NIL drama, also shy of 300 pounds. It's being addressed in recruiting, and unfortunately first round tackles don't tend to pop up in the portal every year.

Big guards and svelte tackles is what we targeted this year. Cantwell and Iheanacho are in the same mold at tackle for the upcoming class, hopefully we can land one of them

Just keep in mind that the OL play has been skewed significantly by Jalen Milroe.

All of the blame isn’t on Jalen but not stepping into the pocket, adjust pass pro, sliding into blitzes, wrong reads on the RPOs, and holding the ball too long are all on him.

Another young OL from UW was looking at us. He's an OT at 330. Not svelte either.

They might just need bodies but I don’t get it.

The word was DeBoer wanted guards who could pull and tackles who were agile enough to handle the edge rush.

Outside of Brailsford I’m not sure I’ve seen anyone who fits the “mold” for what he was doing at UW, but maybe it’ll just be a phased transition with a lot of body conversions over the offseason?

Proctor and Pritchett were both hurt, but both are nowhere close to where they need to be from an agility standpoint regardless of system right now.

Lloyd is exactly the mold, and it's why he was one of the staffs biggest priorities. He's one of the first guys the staff recruited when Deboer got here.

You also aren't going to just get a copy/paste from the washington blue print. The defensive linemen in this league and the defensive linemen in that PAC 12 aren't the same. A prospect like Mike Carroll is a guy that should be able to fit into any scheme with the right coaching

DeBoer needs athletic guys. It was painful watching Proctor try to go out and block for screens. I’m not sure he’d be much better as a pulling guard.

This is fair and it’s also worth noting that the OL coach who was with KD at UW is in the NFL now.

But it’s just… surprising. Because if you wanted an example of what I didn’t think he wanted at OT it would basically be Proctor and Pritchett, but ultimately as a new coach you have to win with the roster you have, not the one you would choose from scratch.

And again, I think Roberts, Proctor and Pritchett were all slowed with injuries so healthy and in better shape they could make huge jumps by next season.

4 to 0 on votes....did i misinterpret our OLine play?

I'd like for each one to come back and improve. Our next QB and running game will depend on them doing their job.

I didn't mis misinterpret our QB play?

When another team does the same thing, the QB should outsmart them occasionally, and make the defense pay for it.

So I still think our OLine needs to improve.

No big reason to over critigue our QB play as it's over with. Done. He's gone.

Our next guy need a running game to help him out.

If it's coaching, well that needs to be addressed also.

That's what beat Georgia too yesterday...sure they're mammoths, but they couldn't handle Irish speed.

Honestly, our OL has sucked since 2020, which makes me think we dropped the ball on evaluations and chased stars.

It’s more a personnel issue rather than a coaching issue.

Im trying so hard to think of a word to tell you.

It starts with F..... And second word with Y....

You see bro. what that was .. opinion.. my guess of what could happen .. I didn't complain.

There's a huge difference between opinion and whining...

I actually feel like it’s a worthy discussion about OL. We’ve been underperforming there since 2021/22 it seems. I didn’t really take it as complaining.

I’m guessing Ty Haywood price too much to meet. It would have been nice to get two future starter quality tackles in this class.
