Because mizzou fans seem really upset that LSU fans aren't rallying the troops to show support for bama after yesterday's game. Seriously, why do mizzou fans feel the need to defend bama? Maybe mizzou fans are looking for acceptance from bama or maybe bama has them so cucked that they are willing to jump off a cliff for them.

Mizzou is a midwestern school masquerading as a southern school nowadays due to SEC graciousness in throwing ‘em a lifeline some years back.
They just want to feel like they belong and getting Bama’s approval is probably an important part of that for them.

I've never heard one Mizzou fan claim the university is a southern school no more than claiming to be a northern school because Mizzou is neither.
The state historically has deep roots to the south due to the hundreds of thousands of settlers that arrived in the early 1800's from the Carolinas, TN, AL, GA, Kentucky, etc. These southerners settled in the Ozarks and in the region known as "Little Dixie" along the Missouri River from KC to St Louis. It's a great state with good salt of the earth people.
