They're the best team on paper when it comes to ESPN viewers/recruit ratings, that's what really matters.

Losing by 21 to a 6-6 team should automatically disqualify you from making the playoffs.

Well yeah, they didn't make the playoff so they don't care about this game. How many starters are out for them? We didn't have some of our guys in our non-playoff bowl game despite winning. Can't really judge teams for playing like crap in their meaningless bowl games in the CFP and NIL era.

That didn't stop people from judging Florida state last year.
