That's nice. I could give a shite less about you.

Find it yourself (youtube for last year's bcs game) and try paying more attention during the next LSU game you watch if you do not remember the penalty in this year's bowl game.

I understand your sentiments. But, ad hominem bullshite means nothing to me. I've told you I couldn't find clips of LSU doing what AU did, asked you for what you complain about, and you produce nothing.

Fine. Here. LINK

And do not try to split hairs on it. It has been done so many times on here it is pathetic. LSU's center looks right (like Ramsey), checks that guy, then dives directly into the left knee of the OSU guy engaged with the LSU OL (just like with Ramsey). And from the original angle (just type in LSU chop block on youtube), you see the defender absolutely get bend backwards at a dangerous angle when the LSU OL dives into his knee (just like Dorsey).

And as for this year's bowl game, LSU was correctly flagged for a CHOP BLOCK. I'm sure several posters here remember it, or other's would have refuted me. Find someone with a recording of the game if you want to see it. I do not have a copy or clip to show you.

By the way, this topic has been so completely worn out. LSU fans have yapped and yapped and whined and whined and yapped some more. All hot air and all worthless stupidity and hipocracy.

Karma's a bitch and so is Chaz...

The chop block in the bowl game was called on the fullback which is a slightly different situation than a 300 lb. lineman coming in from the side of the knee. Still, I'm glad it was called.

The play from last years NC was not a chop block because the player hit was not "engaged" as the lineman opposite him (Herm) was backing away when Helms came in. As it was legal there was no call.

Neither of these was the same as the hit done by Auburn. Let's face it, even the announcers were appalled. Barners, you may as well give up because you aren't going to change our minds. You can call it whining if you wish, but this one goes over and above normal football complaints. This one just makes LSU fans mad. Fighting mad. If you want that you might just as well jump to Katrina jokes, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Looks like Chaz and Tubby are both gone. Good riddance. Hopefully this subject will fade. It just pisses me off.

I've had my say. I'm now out of all furher discussions of this.

In my opinion X OL Coach Hugh Nall should have been fired after the fiasco that was the 2003 season when he was the Co-OC with Emsinger. If you notice Auburn has smaller faster OL men than other teams in the SEC and College Football for the most part.

I am not an advocate of the system we used, on several message boards I was out spoken about Nall for a couple of years. If he was gone after 2003 Tuberville would likely still have a job.

Under Nall Auburn never semed ready at the OL position until 3-4 weeks into the season. Auburn would unexplainably choke on teams they should not have lost to or under perform. Teams that were successful used stunts and misdirection to get by the "zone blocking"

Under Nall Auburn used "Zone Blocking." Zone blocking is used more in the NFL than in College. (See Denver Broncos) Zone Blocking is associated with power Running games and is used to open up running lanes for RB's to get into the secondary or the open. It also utilizes "cut blocks". Cut blocks are legal but no one getting one likes them because they are intended to take the legs out and open a hole for the runner. It can also injure players.

Zone Blocking also is used to simplify blocking in that you don't necessarily have an assigned position that you block against. You block the guy in front of you.

The OL has been Auburns reason for a decline in Offense since 2004. In 2004 when Borges was hired he stated that with Ronnie Brown, Cadilac and the receivers he scripted plays to "get the play makers the ball"

In 2005 he tried to start implementing his "West Coast Scheme" while Nall continued to coach Zone blocking. The 2 don't mesh and Auburn began declining in Offensive production.

So Tuberville's answer was "Fire Borges" and bring in Franklin all the while getting more of the same from Nall. Auburn continued to try and use Zone blocking while attempting to run a spread offense this year resulting in RB's getting hit in the backfield before they even got moving forward.

The blame is always thrown at Chaz Ramsey. Where if you watch the clip and understand zone blocking you actually see that the fault is with the Tackle Lee Ziemba. He technically had a responsibility for the LB (48) blitzing (who didn't) and went after the first guy he saw. (Dorsey)

BTW, I am not trying to justify that it was "right" It was wrong, it should have been flagged and thankfully he wasn't permantantly injured.
