The area our meetings are in, (Bluebonnet Blvd), is not the shite hole I’ve heard BR had turned in to. Nice area….

The south end of Baton Rouge is quite nice…my neighborhood rivals anything you would find in some of the “more affluent” states.
Louisiana has some high rollers in BR and New Orleans, but the poor places are VERY poor.
While you are in Baton Rouge, you should check out all of the booming shops and walking areas on the north end of Plank Road…easy to just get dropped off there and walk around, good times.

perkins rowe is great ,but even in pretty areas you could get blown away ,,head on a swivel ..locked and loaded

You can say that again. I lived in Clinton Ms. about 8 miles out of Jackson right out of college with my wife and young son. We got the hell out of there after one of the urban youth that was wanted for felony cocaine possession tried to break into our duplex. Also, a lot of the towns in the delta are just horrible.
Madison MS was nice.

I’ll say again, the area I’ve spent time in this week is nice….I’m sure there are terrible areas just like all cities, but I have no complaints about the southeast side of BR.
