Just curious what everyone thinks. Is it:
A - success of member institutions in all sports. Ex: championships, post season births
Or
B - Making the ESPN/Disney check as large as possible for each member institution

Doesn't give a shite about the fans, traditions, players, or institutions.
Every decision is designed to maximize revenue. That's it.
Everyone involved is essentially a whore with no respect for anything other than money.

I’m leaning to B. Did he negotiate the current deal we have now with ESPN? That’s why we are stuck at 8 conference games. Horrible contract. ESPN wants an extra conference game, they better pay. Sankey’s the last dude I have faith in using this year’s rating to show ESPN why it’s leaving money on the table for them. He also probably has no fricking clue how to put the 2026 schedules together. The strengths of schedule was lopsided for several teams. Now, with how the committee picked, it makes no sense to play the most difficult schedule (Florida is crazy for signing up for theirs). He didn’t even really stand up for Ole Miss or South Carolina, even for perception sake.

It’s a business, plain and simple.

Money is always the answer to the question “why are things so fricked up”

1. Maximize revenue for each school, and
2. Insofar as it helps achieve #1, foster excellence in every sport we sponsor.
And, IMO, that is exactly what Sankey was hired to do.

It should be leading CFB instead of playing baby back bitch to the B1G.
He could start by being a pioneer and making SEC officiating something no one talks about on a weekly basis.
He’s currently looking like a B1G simp, gimp, whatever you want to call it.

Keeping his job. Similar to Roger Goodell and the NFL.
Both the SEC and NFL are king. Does not matter who’s the commissioner. But they sure as heck want to keep their jobs so the make money money money.

Do you mean repackaging SEC university sports as romantic content?

B and lining his pockets with ESPN and texas money.

At this point? I would say kickbacks from the network to pad his own pocket.

Sankey's #1 priority is to to do what his Masonic masters tell him to do.

His #1 priority is to preserve his cushy “job” or should I say “position” as SEC commish…

In my opinion he was doing his best to hand over the SEC Championship to Texas. All you have to do is look at the numbers and schedules. Georgia was not supposed be win and maybe not be there at all.
Just my opinion.
