Lol. He had 44 TD’s and 29 passing. If thats weak I’ll take it. OU had 3 passing TDs in 8 SEC games.

I'm not going to say he's overrated.....but I will say Washington State played a trash schedule. Their SOS was 111th out of 134
He's definitely more of a dual threat QB. Some solid rushing stats through the year.

With Mateer we’d have stability and known stats. Plus Michael Hawkins will have his true freshman year under his belt.
With Arnold, I think his ceiling is higher but not yet tapped into. If he can erase the jitters he’ll be great. He had little to work with but also made some bad decisions. He needed a fresh start and Auburn will be good if they can get his potential used.

Mateer news is already drawing interest from other O players. We hit bottom last week but the tide is turning

He might be great but Wazzou had the 113th ranked schedule last year so it doesn’t mean he will dominate the SEC

We’ll see, but OU was a mess at most positions on offense last year. I think it’s naive to count out a sophomore without much help around him.

Arnold will be better with a stable system, just needs to improve on decisions. The challenge is some players never shake their jitters after a bad year and some do. If he can get past that he has a huge upside. He had to make a change of teams.
As for Mateer, he will improve OU offense. We’ll get the pieces around him. This season was a fluke with all the injuries. But now a lot of true freshmen got playing time on oline and improved late season. Throw in portals and new class it will be fine. And Mateer will attract enough receivers. And don’t discount our returning QB Michael Hawkins.
