Brooks Austin did a film breakdown of Notre Dame's defense and Indiana's offense. I was shocked at how small ND is on the DL. They look smaller then Tech. Their secondary is really good. Before watching the breakdown, I was thinking Indiana would be the better matchup for Georgia, but I'm think ND might be now. USC ran for around 200 yards at 7 yards per attempt. I would hope Georgia would be able to run all over them. Now for Indiana, Michigan and Ohio State showed that once you stop their run game they're cooked, but their QB is pretty good.
I like Georgia's chances against both. Who would you prefer the Dawgs play?

Indiana only played one ranked team all season, Ohio St. and lost by 3 touchdowns.
ND should beat the Hoosiers by about 2 TDs.

Suspect we play Notre Dame and suspect it will be a war.

IDK… even with injuries on their D-Line, they’ve been really good. Their LB’s are slow and we could attack them with our TE’s. Their secondary is elite. I picked ND because I truly have no idea what our offense will be. Indiana is not winning @ ND. IU literally played the most pathetic schedule ever and got rewarded.

It didn't seem to matter vs Tech. We never know which OL is going to show up.

That's all true, but they dusted just about everybody on their schedule. Solid team!

To be fair to Indiana it was a close game until halfway through the third when the wheels came off.

They’ve played 6 of the 20 worst passing offenses in FBS. I’m just regurgitating the Locked on Bulldogs podcast, but I thought it was a good point.

I saw that also and had the same reaction.

I you go back and watch the USC highlights, their secondary was exploited. Brooks saw something this novice didn't.

Georgia should be able to beat either handily. Neither have the size or physicality of UGA and both have feasted off of a weaker schedule. Indiana has played one ranked team (OSU) and got drummed. Notre Dame has not played a team ranked in the top 25.

To be fair, most teams could say that about playing Georgia.

I have a feeling the Dawgs show up big time for the remainder of their games. They’ve shown they can do it when they want to and there’s not much more “want to” big games than the playoffs. Our defense will keep us in these games….the question is can our offense give us at least 30 pts in each game?

I like our run game against ND and overall against PS. What we don’t know is who is coming out of the other bracket.

I think everyone except the fans of those schools want to see that as well. Everyone wants the underdogs to win.

The only real thing I'm hoping for opponent wise in the entire bracket, top and bottom, is for texas to lose. I have nothing really against them necessarily but playing a team 3 times is just utter lunacy at the college level. It'd be remarkably unfair to our team and I'm sure nobody in the general viewing public wants to watch the same matchup 3 times either.

Especially when only this 3rd game would be the only one that matters.

The SEC Championship mattered. Not as much as a Natty, but no reason to devalue the most difficult Conference Championship

I believe that SEC Title puts us alone in second place to Bama on title wins.

I'll trade them SEC titles for national ones, every day. That's why it was so retarded that Bama was crowing about the 2021 SECCG trophy when we beat them in the CFP title game.

You can value one more than the other, without devaluing one completely is my point.

Notre Dame's best wins are (if you count ranking at the time of the game):

#20 Texas A&M 23-13
#15 Louisville 31-24
#24 Navy 51-14
#19 Army 49-14

Only Army is still ranked after that awful loss to Navy, and that's only because they won't release new rankings until after bowl season.

A&M went 8-4
Louisville went 8-4
Navy went 9-3
Army went 11-2 and won the AAC.

I'm a "count the ranked wins after the season guy", so I do not count any of these as ranked wins for ND, assuming Army drops out of the Top 25 for getting worked by Navy. These teams are all mediocre at best. Army's record looks great, but I don't respect that schedule.

ND also lost to NIU at home, and then spent the rest of the season playing Purdue, Miami (OH), Stanford, GT, FSU, Virginia, and USC.

I think we get served a massive cupcake either way the first round game goes.
