It's never been solely about who are the best teams. It's always been about most deserving combined with the best teams.

In 2022, Bama wasn't claiming their big wins back then because they couldn't. They were claiming their two losses were to two teams that would have beaten TCU and TCU wouldn't be favored over them. But TCU played more ranked teams when the final rankings came out and had the most impressive win between the two while also having less losses.

The argument Bama fans are making now for inclusion could still be made had they lost to Auburn or Mizzou and had 4 losses. The problem they have is they have the worst loss among all teams in the playoff or with a decent resume to argue they should be in. SVP is about the only guy I've seen talk about how bad that loss was and the recency of it.

When I say that, I'm not saying that's the end all and makes their argument moot. What I'm saying is the Finebaums and other media types rarely even brought it up. It was just "Who have you beaten?" Well who you lost to and how you lost to them counts as well.

That's not even a good argument. If Bama's losses were to Ole Miss, Georgia and Tennessee, they'd be in.

Are you really asking why uga deserves to be in the CFP over bama?

Did you just gloss over the whole "Georgia won the SEC Championship" thing?

Most Bama fans realize the 'flew 1400 miles to kick a field goal' should NEVER happen to a championship team, let alone Bama.

And they are OK with it - though many felt teased by last weeks ranking. I knew we could be jumped. It's happened before and will again.

I'm grateful most fans aren't whining, in real life or on message boards such as this.

But today... the protagonists on Finebaum - it will be legend.

I mean, we had jsut won 29 straight games and were ranked #1 the entire season. Is it really THAT far fetched and going out on a limb to think we were one of the best teams?

Last year we had the same problem that we've had for a while which is simply an alabama problem. I fully believe we would beat tex/wash/michigan. At any rate, there is zero doubt that we were one of the 4 best teams, yet we ended up ranked 6th after the SECCG. Which is ludicrous.
