Beck injury

UGA junkyard board mods seem to be prepping everyone for bad news, like Tommy John surgery for Beck. I know this sounds crazy but with our defense healing up, our offensive line will be healed up by game time and our running backs coming back to play, Rod Robinson, completely healthy Ettienne, and Frazier, and Cash Jones. If they incorporate RPO I actually like Stockton at QB. I'll get some shite for this but Arian Smith can catch Stocktons passes and so can the tight ends, he gives us a viable dual threat, and we can grind teams down with 3 healthy running backs. Minus the bad interception under duress, Stockton who hasn't played at all basically was 12 for 16 on passes. I see more first downs for us and more clock control. This could be a good thing, we've seen Beck throw a million interceptions. Just an opinion...we shall see

I like that QB2 from yesterday.

He seemed very limited in the passing game. Sucks for Beck, hopefully he'll fully recover

So did Beck even when not injured.

Well hopefully he recovers well but f he needs Tommy John surgery that’s worse than knee surgery. He’ll need at least a year to get his arm ready. This will hurt his draft stock unfortunately.

Hasn't played all year, they limited what he could do in that game, will take all the snaps with the 1's until gametime but he's been in the system for a while. UGA just became a running team which I prefer, and we will finally have backs in place and a healthy line to make that happen. Will be fine as long as he manages the ball while under duress. Should be fun to watch

I’ll hold out reservations on Gunner until a defense actually game preps for him. As far as your competition, ND has a stout run defense and Penn State has a very mobile QB. Do with that what you will.

He does seem to throw a more catchable ball. Carson's throws are more NFL-ish and without NFL level hands to catch them, it causes problems. Same problem Stafford and Eason had on the college level.
Not blaming the drops on Carson, if you are a starter at UGA you have to catch the ball when it hits your hands unless you get blown up by a defender. So many wide open drops, even in the first half of the SECCG, but the drops stopped when Gunner came in. Maybe coincidence, maybe not.
This was definitely something I was pondering last night in my drunken brain.

Sucks to lose starting QB especially at playoff time. But #2 didn’t exactly shite the bed. Especially considering the guy has like 10 total plays in games.
I was pretty impressed how he came in, showed no fear, provided a bit of a spark and sure seems tough as hell.
Also seems like his legs will provide UGA with another option on O.

Notre Dame will beat Georgia in the 2nd round. Their D is good enough to limit Georgia and Leonard will run all over them like King

So, you think Notre Dame can do what Texas couldn't? Even though Texas had two shots, one of them at home??

Texas would have played their mobile backup QB if it was a must win situation, like Georgia which flipped the game. Alas it was not, so they saved it for another day. And despite Georgia pulling out all the stops and Texas not playing their ace in the hole, Georgia needed 2 missed field goals, 3 dumb turnovers, and 100 penalty yards from Texas just to go into OT

Kirby has three weeks to design a QB Power/RPO offense for Stockton. Georgia has the roster to support him. Georgia also has some favorable matchups on their side of the bracket to iron out what he does well, and what he doesn’t. Yall will be fine.

The bottom line is that Texas lost to Georgia twice but now you think Notre Dame can beat them. I mean, it's possible, but Notre Dame didn't learn any lessons on beating Georgia from Texas.

GA has struggled with mobile QB’s and UT finds zero opportunities to work Arch into the game. I don’t get it.

Kirby schooled Sark first go around. 2nd game, Texas sold. Stockton was the X-Factor no one saw coming. Hopefully we can do it again.

Why give Georgia film on how to prep their defense for Arch rather than putting them in the same situation Texas was in with Stockton in the SEC CG?
There's not much difference between the 2 seed and 5 seed, I'd prefer whichever avoids Notre Dame the longest because they have a unique run first style that is hard to prep for tbh. Oregon and Gabriel are the same way, but they're pass heavy and I'll have to see it before I believe anyone can throw on Texas secondary
