Guess we are still idiots, and have no playoff to look forward to it.

That's all I got, just funny people calling idiots on this board based on opinions

I didn’t understand the people who were so sure still last night. That was literally the worst case scenario in that game for us. It seems like the people who were “sure” just kept considering the OU loss to be a “normal” loss. We lost 24-3 against a 5 loss team.

I didn't call anyone an idiot for thinking Bama might be out. But your statement implies that an opinion can't be idiotic. Of course they can. Your opinion that there was a purpose for this thread, for example.

We were in…in every scenario but 1. SMU losing on a walk off FG or OT.

SMU lost on walk off FG

I mean, the same crew defended Milroe all season. They're allergic to rational thought

Way to read into it I guess, but there was definitely a bunch of people on this board calling people idiots that even suggested Alabama was out of the playoffs this year.

All SMU had to do was basically not get blown out.. They weren't going to punish them for playing an extra game. Been saying it for weeks

Congratulations, you got lucky and literally the exact scenario that could keep Bama out is what happened. If Clemson hadnt let them come back and had won by 10, it would have webt the other way.

But congrats, good job on your guess. frick bama right?

Wrong, I didn’t defend Milroe. There were times I thought he was turning the corner but I’ve wanted Ty to start for 2 years.

Selective quote. I said in that post I believe we are out.

Anyone who was on this board last night knows I was adamant that we were not getting in, I wasn’t playing both sides.

I didn't argue either way, but, literally the only scenario that would leave us out, happened. SMU wins, we're in. They lose without the big comeback, we're in too.

Either way, the 12 team playoff is garbage and I hope all the NFL fans are happy to now have the NFL, and a shittier version of the NFL.

Yep.
Will be interesting to see how viewership is effected in the next four years.
The NFL actually won in all this. They now have themselves and NFL lite. Lots of casual fans of college ball will just go watch the better product and that’s pro ball

Oddly enough, I’m more interested in the NFL playoffs than college playoff for the first time in my life.

Yup. On here you get called unintelligent for trying to bring an unbiased and logical thought to the board. It wasn't even how I felt, but I knew SMU being booted for losing their conference championship would be a political disaster that the CFP committee wouldn't want to deal with. It's much easier to boot a 9-3 team.

I mean the argument of selecting the best teams was done when UGA didn't make it in last year, and further evidenced by giving 4 auto-bids (with the best seeding) and a 5th to one of the lesser conference champions in the new format. It wasn't that hard to see this coming and my "anxiety" had nothing to do with seeing it.

Yeah the best teams was thrown out the window now that there is not only 5 auto bids, but first round byes.

All the polls and the BCS simulation have us at #11 or higher.

So why come on here and vilify those who held out hope that the team we all root for would be in? Unless you are not one of those who root for Bama....
Seems that you would rather be "right" than for Bama to make the playoffs.
