Just curious how you think that works. Thanks

Guess nobody can put it into words.

Go on, how does it work? Do they tell the committee who to vote for?

I think committee members bias certainly exists so why not money too.

So you think they pay committee members to vote a certain way?

It really wouldn't surprise me. This is BIG money we're talking about here with the execs at the very top of this thing. There's always corruption when big money is on the table.

Alabama is a big TV draw so the committee will do their best to get them in the Playoff with an easy first game to draw viewers. viewers mean higher TV ad rates and that's what ESPN wants.

Do you think they only pay certain members or every member?

If it meant everything alabama would’ve gotten in over TCU 2 years ago,

I’ve done versions of this post in the past (more in terms of how Bama pays the refs) and while it was sort of a fascinating psychological study it was generally met with crickets. I was specifically curious on how the money was delivered to the refs, and how they ran the sophisticated cheating machine in real time. I posted this while there were several dozen people making these claims. No one wanted to really think that hard about the issue except, surprisingly, that moron Rabern.

It was hilarious. As dumb as he is I will give credit that he was the only one who had the balls to go ahead and explore the theory to the end. I think it was cash delivered to the refs’ homes…all of them. And they never leaked anything.
Similarly, I predict you won’t get many straight answers with theories on the specifics (how many of the members are in on the scheme, how this isn’t leaked, etc). Just vague accusations.

It is the basis of all good conspiracy theories, got to keep it vague. Not shocking the only two real replies are poli posters, so they were never going to come back to explain anyways

The Vegas odds just jumped in the last 15 minutes to favoring SMU overwhelmingly to get in. SMU went from -350 to -800.

ESPN runs their narratives all day long during their shows…

So that's how they sway the committee? Or do they just straight tell the committee who to pick. And then the narrative matches the results?

Like all things, it is now about the money . The bottom dwellers of the SEC get more money by having the big money teams in the conference so in a way everyone benefits. Like it or not there are teams in the SEC that would be hurt bigly without the money cows involved.
