Ok obviously Alabama isn't getting in now. There's no debate about that.

But the ACC is a fricking joke.

Clemson got blown out by Georgia, and beaten by South Carolina and unranked Louisville. They're the conference champion. Not a single ranked win.

SMU the other playoff team, played two ranked opponents all year - BYU and Clemson - lost both games.

The conference is a complete joke.

The only 2 real conferences are the Big 10 and the SEC, and of course the SEC is head and shoulders better than the Big 10.

People don't talk enough about how big the addition of Texas and Oklahoma is - two programs that singlehandedly made the Big 12 relevant the past 20 years.

Alabama dropped a game to Oklahoma. Texas made the championship in their first year.

The SEC is a superconference.
The Big 10 is a superconference.

The others are Busch league now.

The ACC had a clear agenda. Clemson had 0 penalties. That has only happen 1 time for Clemson since 1952.

Not as objectively terrible as Alabama's losses though.

SMU lost to Clemson.

Clemson lost to two SEC teams that BAMA beat.
Clemson is the weakest conference champ.

If SMU deserves a spot, then so does Army.

Texas has zero ranked wins and they were in the conference championship. Then they lost said conference championship to a backup quarterback

The ACC is actually substantially worse than the big 12. I still think it’s likely Miami is the best team in it but oh well they shouldn’t have choked. There’s no way including 2 acc teams can be justified

And yet, they had a better record than Georgia.

It's almost like strength of schedule matters, and can have a direct impact on a team's record.

Texas is a paper Tiger. They’re schedule is a ridiculous joke gifted to them by Greg sankey. Wouldn’t be shocked one bit if they drop round one to Indiana.

Wins weren't that great either: Auburn & LSU.

I just don't see Bama being left out. Nobody can take SMU seriously.

if the ACC is terrible, why do SC fans argue they should be in b/c they beat Clemson? At Clemson is their best win and Clemson led most of the game.

SMU had 2nd worst SOS in the P4 behind another ACC team: North Carolina.

Right. But if the SEC is that much better than the ACC, how is Texas’ strength of schedule that bad?

If any USC fan is making that argument they’re retarded. The acc is by FAR the worst power conference. The big 12 is far above them.

Bama making conspiracy theories about an ACC title game between 2 mediocre teams. tDecline is in full swing. How many times has Bama benefitted from the refs?

Are you retarded? Look at the sec teams they played then the ones say UGA payed plus OOC. UGA played 6 ranked teams I believe at time of game. Texas played one. UGA twice and they got BTFOd both times once by a back up qb
