SIAP. This 10 question quiz acts as if you were in the selection committee and ranking teams based on different criteria.

CFP Ranking Quiz

Curious to see what others came up with. My top 12:
1. Oregon
2. Texas
3. Ohio State
4. Notre Dame
5. Georgia
6. SMU
7. Penn State
8. Indiana
9. Alabama
10. Boise State
11. Tennessee
12. South Carolina

Assuming SMU and Boise State win, and the winner of Arizona State / Iowa State takes a slot,

First four out: South Carolina, Ole Miss, Miami, Tulane

Now, if I removed the quiz results and reassessed, I’d subjectively have Ohio State, SMU, Indiana, and Alabama lower (but not necessarily out).

The one LSU fan who has participated has used their superior decision making skills to come up with:

2. SMU
4. Boise
10. Army
11. Tulane
12. UNLV

LSU fans, folks.

I think the creator of this tool is a Buckeyes fan; I’m not sure how else almost every ranking has them so high. Oregon must be the de facto #1.

Ohio State still rates in the Top 5 of almost all the metrics - both the ones that measure Resume and the performance ones (SP+, FEI, FPI).

Not entirely sure how, but any formula that uses metrics is going to have a hard time dropping OSU below 5 or 6.

I also kept thinking Ohio State’s schedule was pretty weak with their lone good win against Penn State, but I’d also completely forgotten about the mighty Hoosiers. Makes more sense now. Ohio State, talent wise, has to be top one or two in the nation.
