When you have a team losing to multiple unranked or inferior teams talent wise, you aren’t a NC contender. An SEC team will not win the playoff this year.

Georgia’s losses are to ranked teams.
Georgia also beat Clemson, Tennessee, and Texas.
Alabama lost to unranked vandy and unranked Oklahoma (badly).
Ole Miss lost to unranked LSU, unranked Florida, and unranked Kentucky.
Georgia did what they had to do.
