CFB ruined the best OT

All because the refs were incompetent in the LSU/A&M game. It's like when a board game runs way too long and you realize it's because you've been playing by the wrong rules the whole time.

But at a minimum these guys shouldn't get so many TOs

They should have pulled back the starting point to the 50 years line. Make it so that FGs weren’t basically automatic fallbacks to a stalled drive.

It really is a shame.
Because the old system was red zone offense.

2 point conversions can be games with pick plays and schemes. Sometimes the best defenses can still get beat.

It’s just not a great system

I've been saying this for years. The only thing that needed to change from the original overtime rules was to start further back so there's not a guaranteed FG attempt.

I'd probably lean more to the +40 but the 50 is good too.
