Do you pull for SC vs Clemson this weekend in hopes your path gets easier and you can jump Clemson and find the 11th spot? Or does an SC victory make you somewhat nervous thinking that SC can leapfrog you, too?

Or just concerned about the Iron Bowl, and to hell with everything else?

Honestly curious. No flame.

I'm all in favor of beating Auburn, finishing the season 9-3, and going to the Citrus Bowl. This is not a playoff team. Any Alabama fan who suggests otherwise is just a masochist.

They don't need to worry about AU. Only worry is how bad they beat us. I'm guessing gumps by 21.

Or are a real fan that has seen us with losing seasons and will take the chance to win a national title any time we have earned (or are given) a chance.

I’d be perfectly happy being the first 9-3 team to win the whole thing.

Ready to watch them ride the LANNK train to another loss.
Also ready for this season to be over!

If Hugh loses to this Bama team, especially by 21, then he needs to go take a trip on that old gospel ship back to Liberty.

What would be the argument for South Carolina over Bama? Wouldn't Bama still be ahead in most metrics except for losing a game later in the season than Carolina?

Brother there is still a talent gap the size of Texas. Our special teams alone could make us lose by 21 easily

All I care about is beating Auburn.

We aren't a championship caliber team, so playoffs don't really matter.

I'm not making the argument. I just asked a question.

The committee does what it wants, and answers to no one.

All you need is a half competent defense, and LANNK will spot you 14-21 points!

I hear that Hugh Freeze likes to use a newfangled type of play called a "run." Judging by how mystified our defense is every time they see one, it must be a very recent innovation to the sport. Hopefully in the offseason they'll close the loophole that allows these sorts of plays because we don't appear to be able to stop them. I'm afraid Auburn will exploit this unfair advantage to win bigly this weekend.

Beat Auburn.. hope the chips fall and we get it.

I’d rather be in than out and any Bama fan that’s says otherwise is a loser.

The narrative of “this isn’t a playoff team” is trash.

They’re better than Indiana, Penn State, Miami, SMU, Arizona State etc..

Getting in helps recruiting, perhaps you get a good bracket..win a game or two.

I think Alabama comes out and plays a near perfect game and beats Auburn like they did LSU.

And then all of us wondering where the hell was that last week? Up and down … Up and down.

Iron Bowl is the only thing that matters.

Wish our dumb frick players thought that way as well.

Yes, but it has nothing to do with the possibility of the playoffs. It is because I like SC and hate Clemson. Go gamecocks!!

Yes, I am much more concerned with Auburn. I do not feel good about this game after last week

Pretty much this. If Alabama somehow gets in to the Playoff, then I'll be cheering for them like always. If Alabama doesn't get in, they only have themselves to blame for it. I've accepted that Alabama isn't a championship caliber team this year, so I'm not letting it bother me.

I think focus is the main problem this year.

I think Alabama showed up in both Nashville and Norman and just expected to win. They felt they were entitled to win. The opponent felt otherwise.

The other thing this team is horrible at is dealing with adversity. As soon as something bad happens or the original plan doesn’t work they just pack it in for the day.

As an Alabama fan I expect to win the close games in the fourth quarter. For the last three seasons, Alabama has lost more of them than they have won;@ LSU, Texas, @ Vandy,@ TN twice, Michigan. I don’t know why it is.

I hope Deboer can figure it out and fix it.
