Brandon Walker is not, and his points are fair IMO

I have no further opinions.

USCe is a good team and could be a derserving one with a win against Clemson. I think the ACC loser is also out of the top 12 too and gives room for another team somewhere.

I'd put USCe over the ACCCG loser if USCe beats Clemson.

If Ole Miss wins this weekend, they 100% deserve it over us.

I am for the factor of winning streaks at the end of the season being considered, but it doesn’t take away an arse kicking at home. We never had a chance.

Early games have to matter.

You think if yall end up blowing Clemson out and Ole Miss wins a close game, yall won't jump them?

I have no idea what the committee would do

But if that happened, I would be livid if I were an Ole Miss fan

Interesting fact..

South Carolina is the only SEC team with a margin differential better than us against common opponents this season.. including Georgia..

Texas vs Vanderbilt +3
SC vs Vanderbilt +21

Texas vs Oklahoma +31
SC vs Oklahoma +26

Texas vs Kentucky +17
SC vs Kentucky +25

TX +51
SC + 72

Difference 21 = 7 ppg

SC got hosed against LSU imo. I think they have a good argument if they beat Clemson.

Brandon Walker is a douchebag and has been an SC hater all year. I wouldn't pay him any attention.

South Carolina hasn't played a single top 15 team, but good for them I guess.

I agree with that completely. Doesn't make his point invalid. Our best argument is "quality losses" not "quality wins"

Beat clemson and that balance shifts, but I'm not sure it's enough.

Is that not the recipe these days?

ETA: did you mean to say beaten? Bama and Ole Miss are still top 15 in the AP. If you’re projecting they won’t be in the CFP poll, then that’s another thing I guess

Good catch. "Beaten a top 15 team" should've read.

Per Sagarin..

Record vs Top 30 teams

5 Texas 3-1 (.750) + Texas A&M
4 Tennessee 3-1 (.750)
6 Georgia 4-2 (.667)
6 Alabama 4-2 (.667)

5 Ole Miss 3-2 (.600)
6 Texas A&M 3-2 (.600) + Texas
7 So Carolina 3-3 (.500) + Clemson

7 LSU 2-4 (.333) + Oklahoma
8 Oklahoma 2-5 (.286) + LSU
7 Florida 2-5 (.286)

5 Auburn 1-3 (.250) + Alabama
4 Missouri 1-3 (.250)
6 Arkansas 1-4 (.200) + Missouri
6 Vanderbilt 1-4 (.200) + Tennessee

7 Kentucky 1-5 (.167) + Louisville
8 Miss State 0-7 (.000) + Ole Miss

Tennessee + Missouri = cakewalk schedules

Easy 5
Texas, Ole MIss, Auburn

Solid 6
Georgia, Alabama, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Vanderbilt

Tough 7
So Carolina, LSU, Florida, Kentucky

Brutal 8
Oklahoma, Miss State

If it were a 20 team playoff it would simply change the team(s) we're talking about. 12 is more than enough to cover any team truly playoff worthy.

Nothing personal against the Cocks, just sayin

16 teams would devalue the regular season even more and be way too many games for the players.

12 is probably still too many

Beat clemson and that balance shifts, but I'm not sure it's enough.

Winner of this game needs help, at the end of the day neither team has beaten anyone and a 9-3 acc team that lost to every credible team it played or an 8-4 sec team won’t be the signature win sat that is today.
