1 - Oregon (11-0)
2 - OSU (10-1)
3 - Texas (10-1)
4 - PSU (10-1)
5 - ND (10-1) Could see 4 and 5 flip though.
6 - Miami (10-1)
7 - UGA (9-2)
8 - Tennessee (9-2)
9 - Indiana (10-1)
10 - Boise (10-1)
11 - SMU (10-1)
12 - Clemson (9-2)

One CCG not in the top 12 (Big 12 champ... I guess ASU leads that now?).

using those teams

1 Oregon
8 Georgia vs 9 Tennessee

4 Boise
5 Ohio State vs 12 ASU?

3 Miami
6 Penn State vs 11 SMU

2 Texas
7 Notre Dame vs 10 Indiana

Won’t finish like this though

Ugh.. gotta bump Indiana up a spot, better record

Let them go to Athens, and Tennessee go to South Bend instead.

Dabo will go nuts if they put Bama a spot over them especially if they beat SC next week. He was already complaining about the rankings today.

4 way tie for the 2 spots in Big 12 game right now. I think Colorado doesn't fare well in the 3 or 4 team tiebreakers though.

If we project the higher seed wins games going forward in both the regular season and in CCG's, you would end up with this.

1 - Oregon - 13-0
vs
8 Tennessee (10-2) vs 9 Indiana (11-1)

2 Texas - (12-1)
vs
7 ND (11-1) vs 10 UGA (10-3)

3 Miami - (12-1)
vs
6 PSU (11-1) vs 11 Clemson (10-2)

4 Boise - 12-1
vs
5 OSU (11-2) vs ASU (or whoever from the Big 12)

They might reverse UGA and Clemson to keep a 3rd repeat matchup between UGA and Texas from happening. But UGA did beat Clemson pretty handily to start the year.

1 - Oregon (11-0)
2 - OSU (10-1)
3 - Texas (10-1)

Meh, ok.

4 - PSU (10-1)

Has to be punished someone for a 1-point win vs a mediocre Minnesota team late in the season

5 - ND (10-1) Could see 4 and 5 flip though.

They don’t deserve to be ranked this high with a loss to Northern Illinois, but should jump State Penn with the win over an undefeated yet overrated Army

6 - Miami (10-1)

By default. Probably better than State Penn

7 - UGA (9-2)

They beat #3 Texas soundly on their home field. Rationally, they should be ranked over Texas, Penn State and Miami…it’s only the “one loss vs two” fallacy that prevents it

8 - Tennessee (9-2)

I see no reason to move them up or down

9 - Indiana (10-1)

What would their record be with LSU’s schedule? They are not one of the ten best teams in the country.

10 - Boise (10-1)

This ranking is too high. They’re in as one of the 5 highest ranked champs…but do the deserve bye over Big 12 barely beating Wyoming?

11 - SMU (10-1)
12 - Clemson (9-2)

The B12 winner will knock one of these two teams out for sure. Clemson’s only path is to win the ACC championship game, IMO….probably SMU’s at this point too. But

And Oregon/Ohio State rematch in the Big 10 will move some other pieces around.

Damn it, I knew when they went to 12 games that Penn State would be a lock. They never really contend in the Big 10, but they always schedule so they go 10-2. Gonna be the same this year; and every year. Meanwhile, LSU insists on opening with a major opponent, which is an unnecessary risk. And now we have Clemson on deck next year.

I like big games, but at this point I want to play all cupcakes OOC. Conference play is tough enough, and if you come through the SEC with 2 losses or less you should be worthy to be in the playoffs.

If UGA beats Texas but the higher seed wins everything else, the order would be really hard to predict. UGA at 11-2 vs Miami at 12-1? I could see the committee going either way on that.

Texas could be as high as 6 but as low as 11. Hard to guess what they'd do.

Doesn't really impact much if they do. SMU gets the bye that was going to Miami. Miami replaces Clemson. Clemson is bumped out.

Miami might still get in if SMU beats them.

ND should be 4, and I think they will be. PSU is the fraud.
Uga should be ahead of Miami but will not be. Miami is a fraud.
They could put Indiana at 7. More likely at 8.

Probably will. Unless A&M beats Texas and then Georgia. If that’s the case the field should be pretty clear cut

1. B10 winner (Oregon or OSU)

2. ACC winner (SMU or Miami)

3. SEC Winner (Texas A&M)

4. B12 winner (Arizona State or Iowa State or BYU)

5. Notre Dame

6. Loser of Oregon/Ohio State

7. Texas

8. Penn State

9. Georgia

10. Indiana

11. Tennessee

12. G5 winner (Boise or UNLV, outside shot of Tulane)

Is this a top 12 requirement?
