Kirby was afraid to unleash it in fear of injury and having to use Stockton IMO

With that as an option in the playbook, this is an entirely different offense.

That and Freeling at LG. Greene can sit the bench the rest of the way or rotate in at Guard as needed from here on out

Beck lowered his shoulder into one of Tennessee players, didn’t feel a thing, and from then it was on. Run this kid a few times a game he’s got 30 yards of green grass in front of him every hand off bc no one is thinking he’s ever gonna keep it. Also allows an extra man in coverage against the pass if not one of them is worrying to spy

Not only did it set the tone, it amped up Beck to get him going and forced UT to account for it.

Ole Miss didn't have to do that and just teed off on a banged up Oline and Beck as a statue

Him running some does give me hope for the rest of the season. I was pretty down after earlier Offensive performances.

Lambos are meant to run.

QBs are on high adrenalin at kickoff. Nerves can be a problem but a run for gain gets Beck into the flow. I want to see Beck making the decision to take off when he sees the opportunity. Mixing things up makes it harder for defenses to mount all out rushes. It would be a blast to see Beck have a run like Klubnik's winner against. Pitt.

No. Freeling should be at LG. That's what he was recruited for.

He just needs to be able to pull a read play or two to keep them honest and burn them occasionally when they are in man.

While it would be ideal, if he continues to look as good as he did at LT, don’t know how you could move him. Protecting Beck’s blindside trumps all. Not to mention I think Earnest Greene is better suited at guard IMO.

I’d just settle for this..:if he sees grass then go. There were a couple of times during old miss when he had 10 yards in front of him.

Every QB in football should do this, even if he's not "athletic". It has burned my arse for years, prior to Carson Beck, why the QB doesn't keep at least once a game for honesty.

Also I want to point out that Tom Petty's most hated form of music was what he called "Corporate Rock" where he specifically named REO Speedwagon which is what pops into my head as soon as I read "just what we needed".

I think for us to be successful and ultimately win the golden prize, we’re gonna need Becks legs. If he can establish even the slightest threat, that offense could be great.

He's not a tackle. Are there any decent LT's in the portal?

Carson comes out in a doo rag and a tear-away, we’ll
know it’s on, he’s been given the green light.
