Hope you guys don't mind -- but what was the issue of Seth McLaughlin transferring

out of Alabama to OSU. (OSU fan here) Seems like a good guy. Has started his own charitable foundation and is playing relatively well for OSU. I do remember him twitching and false starting in some big games -- could that be the reason Alabama may have soured on him?
To those of you who might think I am trolling, I came here after Jameson Williams transferred and congratulated him and Alabama for the very good season he had. No reason a great receiver like him should sit on the bench behind other great receivers.

By all accounts he is a great person. He came in as an underclassman and substituted and played better than the person he replaced who got injured. Then once he finally won the starting position he fell off the cliff. The QB could never depend on when or where the ball was going to be snapped. Example, the final play of the Michigan game last year. Some people on here say it was as much Milroe’s fault as it was Seth McLaughlin. I don’t know whose fault it was. But it lasted for more than a season and never got corrected. So I guess it was a little bit of everyone’s fault. It was best for all parties that they part ways. Everyone needed a fresh start. I wish him the best moving forward.

Interesting. I haven't watched all of the plays, but I don't remember one twitch or one bad snap. (Probably have missed a couple) Transfer portal working out well for him as it did for Jameson Williams.
Will add that when I get the chance, I enjoy interacting with you guys. Generally nice, respectful people. (In sharp contrast to Clemson fans who are the worst)

He had some bad snaps every now and again before 2023. But last season was crazy for some reason. He had like 1-2 at least per game. Some games way more. So many snaps that were way too low or early. One of the reasons Bama had a 4th and 31 in the Iron Bowl was a bad snap by him.
In the Michigan game in the playoffs, I'd say at least 6 bad snaps.
Maybe some of it had to do with Milroe idk but it hasn't been as much of an issue this year without him

It hasn't been an issue at all thank God.
We had like one bad snap in the LSU game and that was on our Center. When we had issue with false starts against rocky top we fixed in by the LSU game.
Glad we have things sort out

Some of our dumbass fans needed a scapegoat. So they blasted him on social media, and everywhere else for some bad snaps that weren't ALL his fault. It was a pathetic display from our fans.
I wish him nothing but the best, and look forward to seeing him drafted. Dude took a lot of criticism that he could have directed elsewhere.

Cost Alabama a National Championship last year in the Michigan game with bad snaps.

A scapegoat? No.
He was no different than a baseball player who got the yips.
If there were stats on bad snaps he probably would’ve set a record last year.
Auburn final drive was a bad snap.
Michigan final play was a bad snap.
Wish him the best, glad he has found success… everyone needed a change.

Really uneducated post.
The guy was making horrible snaps, untimely snaps; yet somehow it's not his fault because God forbid any player that isn't the starting QB take any responsibility or be accountable.
Somehow magically we haven't had the same issues we had snapping the ball in 2022 and 2023....
Guess what the changing variable was?

Seth got a case of the yips and the fact that he pretty explicitly cost Alabama a national championship game berth made it too toxic for him to get psychologically rebuilt to get past it.
Day is known for being great on that stuff, so it was probably a good match for him. I hope he's doing well for y'all.

Bad snaps with worse timing

It was more like 6-10 bad snaps per game and 1-2 catastrophic bad snaps per game. Milroe was able to handle the bad ones, but the really bad ones would result in ruining plays.

This is some serious revisionist history. If they're not the fault of the guy who was, you know, snapping the ball, whose fault was it?
And he had some poor snaps when Bryce was his QB too. Very low and high, and some wanted to blame it in BY's height.
Glad Seth is having a better year, but to pretend he wasn't doodoo last season and the fans were somehow overreacting is ridiculous.

guy is a straight up delusional psycho about milroe
Posted on 11/19/24 at 9:22 am to aspiclark
fwiw him not being able to snap the ball to the qb 7 times a game was in fact entirely his fault as he played center.
i know i know, you hate milroe. but facts don’t care about your little feefees.

Analysis is really easy for you when the root cause is always the same thing no matter how much you must stretch to make it seem plausible in your head.
You want to allude to some straw man about bad fans. However, that is just trying to deflect legitimate criticism towards another player you've decided is okay to receive the same treatment. Chat, let's make that make sense because I can sure as hell can't.
