Some context would be outstanding.

Tl:dr -- Home developer bought up some land for house developments with an eagles' nest occupied by two eagles named Jim & Pam by the locals nearby. The company went through Fish and Wildlife Agency to get permits to remove the nest. Supposedly got it, city of Auburn said something funky going on with it, because they were supposed to hold off on doing anything until they could speak with city leadership, but went ahead and did it anyway. I probably forgot something but that's what I know.

One thing you left out was that it was an out of State developer and that a bama fan posted another thread on this in an attempt to troll Auburn. Why? Because bama fan.

Why is the dude on the left wearing his pants so low? Is it so everyone can see his fake US Marshals belt buckle?
That makes me irrationally angry

Wait a minute, if these creeps are from Columbus Georgia then most likely they are Auburn alumni seeing how the majority of your klan come from the mother state.

They broke federal law.
Hughston Homes had been issued a permit on October 30 from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to remove the tree. The permit prohibits the nest from being taken if there are adult eagles, eggs, or young birds present

Bald Eagles are no longer endangered.
The USFWS delisted the bald eagle from the Endangered Species List on August 9, 2007.
They are just another bird now.
Deal with it.

I agree but there is still an astronomical fine if you’re caught killing one

Nothing good happens or comes from Columbus and Phenix City. Truly the armpit of the south.

Just because something isn’t an endangered species doesn’t mean you can kill it any time you want.

This company followed the book on how not to handle a situation like this.
