All info comes from Arkansasrazorbacks.com

• Arkansas and Troy have met on six previous occasions with the Razorbacks owning a 5-1 advantage in the series with a 3-1 mark in Bud Walton Arena.

• The first meeting was a 137-70 Arkansas victory over Troy.
^ The 137 points is third-most by Arkansas and the 67-point margin of
victory is sixth-most in school history.
^ Arkansas made a school-record 21 3-pointers in the win thanks to Pat Bradley going 8-of-11 from deep.

• Troy’s lone win in the series came on Dec. 3, 2002, a 74-66 victory in Bud Walton Arena (Stan Heath’s first year). The stats were even for the most part but Troy was 12-of-30 from 3-point range and Arkansas was 7-of-25.

• Then #11 Arkansas hosted Troy on Nov. 28, 2022 and defeated the Trojans, 74-61. (After playing the Trojans, Arkansas would play the Spartans of San
Jose State and the Spartans of UNC Greensboro, winning all three.)

• In the win over Troy, #ProHog Ricky Council IV scored 27 points while fellow #ProHog Anthony Black added 14 points and eight rebounds.

• Ricky Council IV scored 11 points during a decisive 17-0 run in the second half. Key among those were back-to-back layups to put the Razorbacks up 59-58 followed by a dagger 3-pointer as the shot clock expired for a 62-58 lead.

Razorback head coach John Calipari is 1-0 all-time versus Troy.

• While at Kentucky, Calipari led the then #8 Wildcats to a 70-62 victory over Troy (11/20/2017).

• Current Razorback assistant coach Brad Calipari played two minutes in the win but did not compile any stats.

• Kevin Knox, brother of current Razorback Karter Knox, led Kentucky with 17 points in the win.

Might they begin with a K and end with a Y?

Well, it’s a fanbase whose biggest concern this year is the fear of Arkansas being successful. I’ll leave it at that….
