We are Arkansas now, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Just won’t be expecting national titles ever again.

At least we know what to expect moving forward.

Lesson learned. Don’t give sun belt coaches a 50 million buyout

Your job as a fan is to endure and pump sunshine.

But there's something to be said for hanging up the cleats.

Florida does have the DNA / money / geography / fanbase / history etc... you'll be fine. The new era of football is gonna remove dynasties anyway. you'll catch wind again.

Yep. Florida football is no longer serious about competing in the top of the SEC.

I knew we were done when we hired McElwain. Taking a stab at Muschamp after Urban was dumb but forgivable. Mac was when I knew we weren't serious about winning. Then to follow that up with 3rd choice Mullen, and now Napier, it is definitely clear as to what we want our athletics to look like.

We're more like Miss State tbh

Arkansas has had some up years with Petrino as HC.

Yes that will be the only lesson learned here. It is all about money for them, definitely not about winning. Keep the costs low, because the boosters would rather lose than pay to win.

i feel ya. At least you're not looking up at Arkansas like we are. We are putting all our eggs in the basket of a guy who has a record that, to this point, is worse than the guy we fired to hire him.

Hell Mullen was good enough to get us in the current playoff, but more important for our admins is having someone they can control. Mullen was a bit of a loose cannon.

Yes this just makes the administration and ADs priorities clear to everyone.

It’s money, not winning.

Florida fans are terrible is what it is. You were never an elite program and you fricked yourself trying to pretend you are.

The kiss of support had to happen if you wanted recruiting to pick up.

That's incredibly harsh. Their AD constantly competes for Director Cups and they had the GOAT stretch with Meyer and Donovan.

As an athletic program, Florida is elite.

As a football program, we had a good 25 year run as an elite program.

Those years are gone now, and won’t be back if at all any time soon with the current administration.

Hiring a sun belt coach = "pretending to be an elite program"

That's a weird way of pretending

This is rich coming from a Bama fan, whose school has only been successful when it bought rosters while the rest of CFB could not, and then become mid level when everyone else could also buy rosters.
