Thinking about making the drive but probably not. I haven't even been watching the games on tv much less in person. Good luck Longhorns and my welcome to the SEC gift to you is an easy "get right" wins vs the Gators.
At best we could make it close for a little while, but I think this team is probably ready to start making their holiday plans, so I see it getting ugly early.
Here's to a good clean game with no injuries.

It would still be a great road trip for you, and Austin won't be nearly as crowded as it was for Georgia. Early game means plenty of time after to take a nap before hitting up 6th Street for some drink and live music.

bigD, what are the best places to eat in Gainesville? I'll be there soon.

I'm not touching the spread. Think it was 21.5. Took the under figuring you'll all out blitz Ewers and he will oblige by not stepping up in the pocket. Our D is for real though. 27-13.

Spurrier's is really good out in Celebration point. Satchel's for pizza and Flaco's for Cuban is near the downtown bars and open late. Amelia's by the Hippodrome is good italian.
Get to the Swamp for a few beers and you have to have some zippers at the Salty Dog. Buy a few zippers for the broke college girls while you are there. Thursdays are cheap drinks.

That is most college towns. Alachua county was 60% for Kamala, Travis county was 69% blue, so not that much different. Also state capitals tend to be more blue than normal.
Austin is a lot of fun.

Thank you. I have always liked the Gators since my childhood friend James Bates played linebacker there. Good luck in the future.

You grew up with Batesy? He is awesome! I love his paintings, and he is hilarious!

I love it when he impersonates Spurrier with a high pitched voice.

We went to the same junior high after the USFL folded and his dad was out of a job. We were best friends until we both moved and lost touch (no cell phones back then).

I'm headed that way this weekend. Doing some kayak fishing on the san marcose river.

What is this soft shite? In the SEC we take blow, not naps, for this situation.

Well... yes, it can be. These days if/when I go to games I mostly hang around campus - always walk across to go to the Co-op. Partake of the pre-game festivities and all that jazz.
I used to cut across town to go eat at Shady Grove but it's gone now.
I don't much driving around in Austin anymore because you simply can't get anywhere. It's just too damn crowded.
As far as politics, back in the days when all we argued about was war, money and cutting down trees, I was half liberal myself. But then liberalism migrated into sick stuff. I had to pick a side at that point, and I chose right (pun intended)

Not anymore. It’s a shite ton of carpet baggers from out of state.
