supposed to be elite and that’s apparently a joke too. For that matter Tennessee in general didn’t look like top 10 team to me. And no, Alabama obviously isn’t

Saban and all the real Alabama fans from Birmingham area and above disagree.

Only Alabama fans from Montgomery & Dothan give Auburn more than a passing thought, and that’s on them.

Milroe is not a good fit in Deboer's offense and Deboer has not adjusted his offense to fit Milroe's skills as an athletic dual-threat QB.
Put Milroe in a run/pass option offense and your offense would improve greatly.

The defense put us in a position to win. Three TOs, two missed FGs. How many points as a result?

The offense lost the game--combination of dumbass penalties, inconsistent OL play, and a shite game from Milroe.

Congrat to the Vols. You still suck, btw.

If you think I could possibly be upset at my freshman QB who just won against Alabama you’ve done too much meth. Take it easy on the wife tonight

He doesn’t see the field or process reading defense well enough, barely at all, to run successful RPO

True. The defense did look better than in the Vanderbilt game, for one example, but overall the defense has sucked about as bad as Milroe

The long completion hucking up a perfectly placed ball forty yards while on the run and the go-ahead TD fade were elite throws.

Nico’s got some development left but he’s doing well for a RS freshman.

GurlyGirl. They have RPO in their offense but Milroe does not understand it. RPO works when the QB reads the defense correctly. Milroe can't do that because he can't read a defense AT ALL. He only knows to keep the ball on a run play for him. He's tried to guess resulting in either him or the RB getting mauled.
He cannot read a defense, he has terrible footwork, he has no pocket awareness, he has no elusiveness or shiftiness. He's a really good athlete with good straight line speed and that's about it.
He grifted the new coaching staff and UA by promising to help persuade retain players last year that were leaving. He's the gift that keeps on giving to Alabama's opponents (except for Georgia...for some reason).

I want to add: By spying him with one or two defensive players, his rush threat is greatly diminished. Teams figured that out after a few games.
In the first four games, he rushed 51 times for 272 yards and a 5.3 yard average.
After the Georgia game, he's rushed 39 times for 57 yards and 1.46 yard average.
Spy him with one or two. He can't pass.

We are having some good discussions about it on the Bama board. You should join in.
