I actually think Vandy is better than their record reflects.

Auburn is not "feisty", just plain bad. It's best win of the season came against New Mexico.

How is Georgia in the driver's seat?

Texas A&M and LSU control their own destinies.

South Carolina is better than a wildcard

They are textbook wildcards. Blowout wins against Oklahoma and Kentucky. Played LSU and Bama close. Got wrecked by Ole Miss at home. Very nearly lost to Old Dominion.

Reckless driver's seat.

Seriously, can't we let someone responsible drive?

So the same a Missouri?

They belong in the same tier.

So does georgia. They only have 1 SEC loss and 1 loss overall, have a tie breaker over texas, and they don't play LSU or aTm. If Georgia wins out they are guaranteed a spot in the SEC Championship Game with a record of 11-1 (7-1 SEC). The loser of LSU vs aTm will have a minimum of 2 losses overall and 1 SEC loss so they are only getting into the SEC championship game over a 10-2 (7-1 SEC) team, but are jumped by an 11-1 (7-1 or 8-0 SEC) team.

So if Georgia wins out they are in, whoever wins out in SEC play between LSU and aTm. If either team drops an SEC game Texas or Tennessee is the next team in. I would have to dig deeper into the tie breakers since they don't play each other.

Does that mean either LSU or A&M will be in the Driver's Seat category next week?

Carolina has an opportunity to be as good as they want to be. Ruin aTm, Mizzou, Vandy's, *and* Clemson's season? Still all on the table.

At the moment, they're a wildcard.

Things are about to get very dangerous for LSU, TAMU, and Tennessee. I'm not sure it benefits any of us to go to the SEC title game.

Correct. The winner of LSU vs aTm, plays UGA in the SEC championship game assuming both teams win out.

A&M and LSU are in the Driver's Seat category by any measure outside of people not wanting to admit that's the case. Both are undefeated and control their destiny.

it's just an extension of the bs media hype of texas u. If GA beat them, it HAS to be because GA is a great team- not because texas just aint that good.

11-2 with a loss in the second championship game all but guarantees a spot in the playoffs. 10-3 on the otherhand, although highly likely, is not a guarantee to make the playoffs. If Tennessee wins out they will be 11-1 (7-1 SEC) and take Georgia's spot in the SEC title game.

No matter what, there's no undefeated teams in the SEC, best case scenario the records of teams in the SEC championship game is 11-1, so the loser will be no better than 11-2.
