First season in the SEC and they’re struggling …

Temple W 51-3
Houston W 16-12
Tulane W 34-19
Tennessee L 25-15
@ Auburn W 27-21
Texas L 34-3
South Carolina L 35-9

@ Ole Miss
Maine
@ Missouri
Alabama
@ LSU

They just fired their OC and are sitting at 13th in the SEC. What do you think?

Nope. The season is considered a bust for most of us fans.

I’d feel justified. I hate to tell our Oklahoma brethren but I did predict the last couple years when Oklahoma joined the SEC they’d go the way of Nebraska in the Big 10. I have nothing against them other than what I’ve seen with my own eyes watching them try to compete against elite teams in the playoffs over the last decade. They’re going to have a hard time keeping up in the SEC based on recruiting hot beds and geography alone.

Watching OU swan dive is enjoyable. Even better is watching their fans, who were always living in denial about what this move would mean for their program, slowly come to terms with reality.

To think OU fans have been talking non stop shite on A&M since it made the move to the SEC, only to have a losing season year 1, is pure comedy.

Enjoy it, Sooners. Your new normal.

The move to the SEC has precisely dick to do with what's going on in Norman you clown.

You’d have more than one win in conference play. Surely you could handle mighty Cincinnati, UCF and TCU

Our OL couldn't block temple, dipshits.

They wouldn't be able to block a single soul in the BIG 12 either and we'd be in the same boat. Houston is in the BIG 12, and they dominated that OL, and we should've lost that game too.

It's not because of your SEC super-strength like you want to claim it is. It's been there from the opening kick, all season, in every game.

Keep spinning your narratives tho.

How is this rationale helping your case for not being New Arkansas?

Because you guys would suck arse in any conference, that somehow means you won't be as bad off long term in the best conference?

Because we can recruit, dipshit. As much as you want to pretend like this season means our program is headed into the gutter where your program resides annually, it's not going to happen. We've been through worse than this.

We will fix it.

At least eight other teams in this conference recruit at the same level - if not better - in any given year.

Do you not understand that?

UGA
Bama
Tenn
Auburn
Ags
Texas
UF
LSU

You don't have the recruiting prowess you think you have. And as your program starts to unravel in this league, the recruiting isn't going to somehow improve.

New Arkansas. This is what OU was always supposed to be. Enjoy it.

So....is Brent Venables the answer?

Now show me where last year's National Champion and runner-up stacks up against all those teams in recruiting. I'll wait....
