Yall need to take a deep breath and answer me this:

How is CHF at fault for the following:

•TD thrown dropped right in the hands..
•Kicker missing FGs
•Defense not blanketing/containing during clutch time
•Thorne under-throwing a 2 step Coleman for game winning TD.

We are an above average QB away from being 6-1 playing with a bunch of young guys.

I know it’s hard being rational with this losing season’s streak of the 50’s I believe

If I’m wrong about CHF, I’ll bring OTT Chili to the Auburn Rant Pot-Luck

So it’s a l Contractor’s fault if his best welder can’t lay a bead?

If it was me, I’d fire him and hire someone else with the next class

this is Freeze's fault.

How many years we gonna give him to "develop" his HS Qbs ?

The excuse making for Hugh is bizarre.

Malzahn is hated on this board and never ever ever let it all fall apart like this.

You hired a crap contractor year one and he screwed up. Fire him and get a new one.

Year 2, screwing up as bad or worse.

It’s your fault!!

To answer your question, Freeze knew what he had at QB all offseason. We did not seriously try to bring in a portal QB. And we are suffering now because of it.

Thorne had an adjusted comp % high in the 70’s.

The boosters chose to spread the NIL money around, instead of going all in on a QB.

I thought the WRs would come in and help that out. We were wrong.

There are MUCH bigger problems with this team than the fact that we don't have an "above average QB". This rhetoric needs to die immediately.

We are finding new ways to lose game after game. Nobody can or wants to make a play when it matters. The team is not prepared to win at all. They can't even hold two+ score leads in the 4th quarter. Whatever it takes for us to lose is almost an inevitability at this point. The opponent has to drive 95 yards and convert 3rd and 18? No problem, they will do it somehow. This is all following the complete collapse at the end of last season (what you see is just a continuation).

This is a Freeze problem, not a Peyton Thorne problem. Thorne isn't even the worst QB in this conference.

Freeze inherited a program that lost its will to win. His first task should have been to start turning that over, NOT recruiting. I knew we were in trouble when last season we were blowing winnable games and the narrative was that Freeze was too busy recruiting. Then we stroll into this season and he keeps talking about "Top 5 recruiting classes is how you win championships". Yes, talent is required - but its not that freaking simple. Talent needs to know how to win. You are seeing us lose game after game in comical fashion to teams that aren't even outplaying or "out-talenting" us. These are coaching related losses.

You are speaking as if this is a winning team apart from the QB. WRONG. Watch the damn games - nobody on this roster knows how to close out a game. What, is a better QB going to throw a "more catchable" pass to Robert Lewis than the one he dropped which would have won the game?

I am just going to ask you the same question as Swagger who did not give me a answer

In the two seasons Hugh as been at Auburn, what was the best game he coached? Just his best game

Analytics said Thornes adjusted completion % was in the 70s

We couldn’t afford to spend the NIL on one with the additions we got.

We had UGA beat last year if it wasn’t for dropped passes.

Bama, we dropped a clincher in the back of the end zone before the 4&31 debacle

Moral victories. Bama was a missed FG away from another undefeated season and NCG appearance in 2013.

So his best two coaching job so far are both blown leads and losses.

He does not have a single good win in two years. But he has about eight terrible losses, including two of the worst losses any of us have seen at Auburn in recent history.

It was there with Malzahn and "we just need to execute".
It was there with Harsin and "we're building a culture!"

I can admit Freeze and his staff are recruiting very well. I find it strange how difficult it is for some to admit Hugh is doing a tremendously poor job coaching on the field. Hugh refused to address the QB issue. Hugh hired a green offensive coordinator with no playcalling experience. Hugh brought in a bunch of Liberty coaches with limited experience. Hugh - supposedly - is calling plays this year, looks consistently unprepared and loses to teams with equal or lesser talent consistently.

It's not going to get easier and he has to retain what he has recruited. That isn't made easier when your program is in the basement.
