Alabama NEEDS Law for this game

Given the horizontal nature of the offense, Alabama has sorely missed Kendrick Law. He is one of the most ferocious run blocking WR I’ve seen at Bama since Julio Jones and I personally think our run game has been feeling it. Something I hope Shepherd addresses this upcoming offseason.

What we need is someone else to call our 3rd and 4th down defense

The loss of Law's blocking is a big part of why the offense has not looked the same since that first half against Georgia. He is sorely missed.

I think the biggest issue is that Roberts is playing at 60% at RG and has killed our interior run offense.
If he could get back to last years form the offense will start to sustain drives again because we can play ahead of the sticks instead of relying on Milroe as the catalyst for the entire offense.

Our RT gets whipped every other play. He is far more of an issue in my opinion.
Our LT is good if he can get his hands on you but he is slow as molasses

He’s been banged up as well, but I worry about his pass pro more than his run blocking.

Proctor is the highest rated tackle in the country, I’m not worried about the left side of the OL.

One bad thing about this year’s team that’s just transition growing pains is that Alabama’s line is not suited for Deboer’s offense. He recruits lean, athletic linemen to execute his horizontal run game and Alabama is nothing but maulers and inside run scheme giants. This should be fixed with 1-2 years more recruiting but at the current moment is one thing that we will inherently not be able to overcome until we get better athletes at offensive line.

Yeah we’ve got to be able to run the ball. With our rb room and offensive line, there’s no excuse not to be able to line up and consistently run the football. Takes so much pressure off Milroe and will open up things in the passing game

77 was limping around Saturday for sure. If the line could get healthy we’d see a better offense. Law will definitely help in the run game, he’s a baller.

If we could fix just that we'd have won every game by two TDs and could win the remaining just the same.
Really think about it. Think about if we could normally stop those long 3rd abd 4th downs the last 3 weeks. Each game we win by at least 14 if not 21.
Just kills us and I think it effects out OCs play calling because he feels pressure at that point and isn't calling the game loose and free.

SC lined up their edge go 10-12 ft wide off proctor and was by proctor before he could back peddle the 3-4 steps needed. until a TE was moved over there USc was getting regular pressure

He's played pretty well. The other guy mentioned his speed, and I do see that as an issue. Twice they've called throwback passes that would have been huge gains but wound up as huge losses because Proctor wasn't fast enough to even get close to his assignment.
