Are we doing the same thing to Texas that we did to Tennessee?

Everyone crowning Texas SEC Champs.
Who the hell have they played?

Nobody yet. The Michigan win has lost its impressiveness and their schedule is heavily backloaded. We'll know in a few weeks who they really are.

Who crowned Tennessee SEC Champs outside of their own fan base?

No it will be worse. We now have confidence

Turns out that offense is very mediocre when actually pressed.
There are, however, many people claiming Texas as the cream of the crop based on next to nothing.

Most teams have yet to play a real opponent. Texas can only play who is in front of them. You'll know if Texas is legit or not over the next 2 weeks.

Tennessee fan base never claimed such a thing.
That shite came from your mouth not ours.

I have a theory on that. Oklahoma did a couple of things. Did you notice how physical that OU-Tennessee game was? Yeah, looked like we got the worst of it, but they got battered too. That's the first thing.
The second, we gave Arkie a blueprint on how to defend them (even though we fell short because our QB failed miserably.) Most of us think we win that game with Hawkins playing the first half also.
So, Arkie got Tennessee coming right off of a bruising fight, plus had an idea how to slow them down.

1-4 on the AP poll have not played "tough competition" yet. The only teams in the top 10 that have really played equal competition are Georgia and Bama. Last week this board crowned Alabama honorary SEC champs after they beat Georgia, now looking at their defense they might not be a playoff team. So does that mean Georgia is fraudulent? Is Alabama fraudulent?

I mean who has anyone played at this point? They have been the best SEC team so far and they have done it with 2 different quarterbacks.

I think Arkansas will win the SEC

The season is barely a 1/3 over. No team has played more than 5 games.

Ohio States best win is Iowa at this point. Not a great win.
Oregon's best win is? Boise State? Not a great win.
Penn State's best win is probably Illinois?
Georgia's best win is Clemson. Looked like a good win at the time, now?
Miami's best win is what? Florida? Cal?
Alabama has a good win, they beat Georgia but then lost.
Tennessee's best win is probably Oklahoma? Good, not great win. But they lost
Ole Miss's best win is I'm not sure, maybe South Carolina.
Clemson's best win is I guess Stanford?
Outside of Georgia and Alabama most teams don't have "good wins" at this point. Texas tried, they scheduled a Michigan team that when scheduled looked to be a good team. They aren't but that's not Texas fault. We do get some good games coming up but so does everyone else.

I'm picking you to skulldrag Texas. They are big time overrated.

I'm just trying to figure out how this opinion got so solidified with Texas having possibly the easiest schedule in the conference to this point. As much as people want to say no one has played anyone (hilariously untrue), I've also yet to see anyone point out a team that's had an easier road than Texas.

I noticed that too.
We just weren't nearly as physical on defense as were were with Arkansas and not nearly as aggressive.
We also seemed to take a more bend but don't break type of approach, probably because of the fact Petrino was the opposition.
