The last Alabama coach to lose to Vanderbilt before today.

When Bryant retired after the 1982 season, Perkins took on the daunting task of succeeding him at Alabama. He coached the Crimson Tide for four years from 1983 to 1986, compiling a record of 32–15–1. However, he went 5–6 in 1984, the school's first losing season since 1957, the year before Bryant's tenure began. Although he won three bowl games during his tenure, it was far short of what Alabama fans had come to expect. Increasing pressure from boosters and alumni at Alabama made Perkins receptive to a lucrative contract offer from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after the 1986 Alabama season.
Replaced a legend.
Didn't win enough for the fan base.
Kalen DePerkins?

This is basically every coach in Alabama’s post-1950 history aside from Bryant and Saban. They’re just a pedestrian program when they’re not being coached by the two college football GOATs

Huge IRISH fan here. These kind of loses really suck. Losing to Northern Illinois weeks back took alot out of this long time life IRISH fan. That being said it is what it is and we carry on. Lol I can't tell you how much hate mail I got for that game. Of course I can't feel too bad for the Tide, this helps make our loss not so terrible. I only say this because people really shitted on me. Hell some people told me I should go in hiding because I should be embarrassed....lol some people.

Or Wallace Wade (3) or Frank Thomas (2)... It is amazing how people paint with ridiculously large broad strokes

The Bama brand really is the Saban brand. They are just another (good) SEC program without Saban…
Bama is basically U$C minus $…

The last Georgia coach to lose to Vanderbilt was Kirby Smart.

That is a really dumb take. Really dumb.
Won the national championship and played in Atlanta three other times but didn't win. That was all in 7 years rs. Then he retired.

And the last team to lose to them was ranked #1 with a heisman contender at QB and a WR freshman phenom. Apparently, he’s just 17! I bet few people know that.

Actually, that is incorrect.
prplhaze is not intelligent enough to be really dumb.

And if there was no Bama, there'd be no Auburn or probably LSU for that matter. And definitely no landmass schools.

The Alabama coach that lost to Vanderbilt before Perkins....
This guy :

I had to look it up. 1969, Watson Brown led Vandy 14 - Bama 10.
