I always found it amazing the year Peyton Manning is gone, Tennessee won a National Title

I think I'm one of the few people that thought the Tennessee team that year was going to accomplish more. There was so much more pressure on them with Peyton and when he was gone the Vols played much more relaxed.

Funny how so many had written the Vols off that year because Peyton was gone. Tee was a great leader to step in like he did. As I said, being an unbiased viewer, Tennessee played a lot more relaxed that year than they had the previous two. So many expected them to win so much with Peyton but as soon as they pressure was off, they came through. That was a fun team to watch.
BTW, at that time I was wondering if my beloved LSU Tigers would ever win the SEC again, let alone a NC.
