Good morning OT.
Mardi Gras drive through parade for a children’s home this morning. Lots of happy faces in the crowd.
Hope your day goes well.

Good job handling the landing. It could have turned out a lot worse.

I hope the vehicle wasn’t damaged too bad.
Tomorrow morning he will be patting himself and everyone connected on the back what a terrific success it was.
re: Anybody ever heard of a 20 minute Mardi Gras parade?

Our car group with city, state, sheriff, marshal's office, fire departments will have a drive through Mardi Gras parade Tues at a local children's home. We all line up a half mile down the road and pass through the gates with lights, sirens and horns blasting. The kids are showered with beads, candy and stuffed animals. And, an ice cream van will be part of the caravan. :nana:
The parade will last 15-20 minutes, but the smiles last the rest of the day.

Amelia, Pebble Beach, Hershey, Carlisle are just a few. The smaller ones can be a great time as well.

Agree and they didn’t look like they were all punched out by the same cookie cutter machine.
I'm sure all the mom-and-pop stores that have been established for decades are thrilled with that concept.

That leaves Danny Hutton as the last of the front men of the group. One is the loneliest number.

Not really a fan, but if the owner is pleased with it, then that's all that really matters.

Tell him to learn to play better and he won’t have to curse. When he gets older, he will know it will never happen.

Best news anyone can hear.
A Senior Chief Petty Officer I served with. No chest full of medals and ribbons. No stories of valor and heroics, just a real leader of men. He taught a lot of young people about how to deal with day-to-day situations with calmness and careful thought knowing these lessons would carry on long after their uniform was put away.

It got to be a very expensive “hobby” for those weekend racers. If you didn’t have a big sponsor, work in a shop or have a big wallet, it was hard to make it through a season or compete against those that did.
Saw many guys drive their car to the track, pull their street tires off, open the exhaust, race, then un-do everything and drive it back home.
Always had respect for those guys.
