There are countless stories of guys that spent their whole paychecks in that place and two weeks later they were back there again.

They have some really nice girls there …

So I have been told. (Is it still there?)
I would have hated to hit either or both of them in the middle of the road and mess up my truck.

Hello FlBooGoTigs. Good attitude to have. I have worked on some holidays so others could have the day off. It usually comes back to you in a good way.
I’ll drink a beer or three for you

Almost the hard way, but a lesson well learned. Don’t assume that a woman with a large stomach is pregnant.
At a company picnic, a couple of female employees that I knew approached me with a concern that a wife of an employee was putting down alcohol at a pretty good rate and they were concerned about the health of her unborn child. They wanted me to address their concerns to her and her husband, who I really didn’t know very well and his boss was not there.
While thinking about how I was going to handle this delicate situation, another employee who overheard the conversation, informed me the lady was not pregnant, she just carried a ‘lot of excessive weight up front’(nice way to say she was just fat).
That was years ago and I still think about how bad that could have gone.

My kids grew up with love, respect and with traditional values that continued into their adult lives. They graduated college, have good jobs, with good futures and are teaching their kids the same life lessons.
We have done our jobs as parents and can leave this world now knowing we did the best we could. Just like my parents did.

That construction project on I-10 between Beaumont and Orange TX was as overrun as any road project in Louisiana.

Understandably. I doubt many would under those circumstances.
Sometimes I will check out reviews on hotels before making a reservation. Usually, they can be pretty accurate.

Battery tenders are amazing.

Yes they are. I have one plugged into a wall timer that set to come on for two hours before sunrise on my old Chevy. It is not a daily driver and never have a slow start on the first crank of the day. My last battery went 8 years before it started giving the hint it was time to pull it.

Definitely worth the trip. Nice presentation as well.
BTW, it is time to place Joe B’s helmet and jersey next to Billy’s.

I had to watch it twice to see the toy hauler.

I wish the road trip was for a better reason, but a close friend and former coworker passed away a couple weeks ago and we are joining a bunch of old friends and former associates for his celebration of life. And, he had one heck of a story book of life to tell. I have a feeling this 'celebration' is going to be carried over to the hotel bar once we leave the event location. I imagine there will be a lot of late check outs Sunday morning.

got anything interesting going on this Fine Friday?

Good Morning Sally and everyone.
Just got out of the dentist chair for the routine tusk cleaning. Going to grab some lunch and then go see my financial planner to move some nickels and dimes around. Then look the vehicle over and pack up for road trip to Boerne Tx in the morning. I'm sure something else will pop up in the middle of all that.
Hope y'all's is going as well as can be expected.
