Somebody was awfully brave. Weight limit on the luggage rack back then was 50lbs. Knowing how they are mounted, I wouldn't go past 30lbs. Also, notice no passenger side mirror. They were not standard factory equipment till 1980. And a bumper mounted hitch too.

I bought a set of tires from Mavis only to find after I got home, one of them was 3-1/2 years older than the other three. This may not be a big deal for others, but on this car, the tires age out long before they wear out.
Brought the tire back, they acknowledged they should have caught the mistake and ordered a replacement and had it ready for pick up the next day.

I worked with a guy who told me his dad flew SR-71’s. I knew of his dad though we never met. Out of curiosity I found a website that listed the pilots that flew that aircraft and sure enough, his dad’s name was listed among that group.
After I had shared the website with him, he told me his dad never told the family that he was part of that select group until much later in his life. Now, I wish I could have met him before he passed.

When the neighborhood was full of kids, Halloween would have been the logical answer. Now, the neighborhood has a lot of grandparents and old folks so Halloween isn’t the big deal it used to be. Christmas decorating has easily taken its place.
CNN doing their part to educate their viewers as well.

Those same old guys could tell you about the long nights in MCY pulling C30’s out of new 76’s and on the other end of the ramp spending countless hours tracking 412’s. Those guys earned every penny and every nickel.
I’m sure you have seen a lot as well and you need to pass that experience on to the younger guys.

I remember when the 350D model and the BH222A/B/U came out with the LTS 101's. The techs had fits with the sintered bearing packages and PT wheel cracks. Stressful times for those guys and engineering.

In a Bell or Sikorsky it would yaw to the right, but with an Astar with its rotor turning in the opposite direction, wouldn't it be yawing to the left?

Agree and using the tail rotor pedals to counteract the main rotor torque probably added to the decay of the Nr. HOGE at that altitude comes with its risks as every pilot is well aware of.
I'm hearing the AStar was a Soloy conversion with the LTS101?

We have an antique car get together and rally next weekend and I hope they are gone by then. Another coat of wax on the vehicle is on the to do list this coming week.
Never seen them this bad for this long.
Forgive me, but I couldn't make it through the first minute of all that nonsense.
