Receivers, DBs and balls in the air

The big difference in the game--Alabama's receivers and DBs were much better at adjusting to thrown deep balls. Humphreys never located the ball on the winning TD. Colbie Young allowed the Bama DB to take the ball away from him on what should have been our winning TD. Is coaching the problem?

Who's our current WR coach?

Not really apples to apples comparison
Humphreys was in phase with back to the QB on the big pass. Though he did totally panic once ball was in air.
Bama DB was in a backpedal watching Carson the whole time. Honestly, Beck should have saw that not thrown to Young there.
Also looked like Young didn't locate the ball until late. Could be a rep issue per sofl. Idk
Don't thinks fair to compare those two plays tho

The Bama TD we were in man and that WR is really good and the QB chucked it. Skill and some luck.
On the final INT, they flipped to zone and the DB was backpedaling off the snap looking at the QB.. it was a good call… any sort of stop curl, or out gets us 10 plus yards or more.

Beck had an awesome fourth quarter, but his sphincter shrunk up on both of the passes to Young on the last drive. Tried to guide the ball instead of letting it rip and putting it up high and outside where Young could get it. The DB was a midget.

Even in zone you have to think your big arse receiver has a better chance of catching it and at worse it gets broken up. Some of it is on Beck for the placement but I give some to the receiver for not getting himself in the right spot to make a play on it.

Receiver did a poor job on that play.

Smart d call as zone typically means you back peddling watching the qb as opposed to turning your back on the qb.

He was on an island backing up. Any stop type route and we get 10 plus yards and one tackle to break for more. They had the right call. Bama fans would have said it was a boneheaded call if we ran a stop type route and got 15 yards and scored on the next play.

Ball was thrown on wrong side. Should have been a back shoulder throw. Instead it was thrown on the DB side of the receiver. Easy INT.

bullshite. That ball was a short round fade. And where are fades supposed to go in that endzone? Definitely not where he threw it, and there was right to the defender. Right to him.

Nothing personal toward you, but I'm about sick of hearing what some anonymous dude called SoFla thinks. When we have a so-called "insider" who starts questioning coaching at UGA, I get a little skeptical. If he's a coaching guru, make a few videos on youtube, introduce himself to the audience and tell us about his background and expertise.

I agree with this aspect but the main difference in the game was at QB.
Milroe had more yards rushing, 117, than all of our RBs combined, 80.
And while we had slightly more total passing yards than Bama, Beck had 3 INTs, a lost fumble and a safety.

Dillon bell had to come back to that ball for the score where we went up for a few seconds. Reminiscent of the throw to McConkey against ole Miss last season.

Beck should have thrown that ball higher and deeper where only Young could catch it.
If he can't catch it, then no one can.
Beck was feeling himself and shorted it
