1-6 vs Alabama is unacceptable.

So please stop talking about the bigger picture.

When you recruit like Georgia does, you should at least be 3-4 vs Bama at minimum. Georgia didn’t even look division 1 for the first half of that game last night.

No excuse for the team looking flat

No excuse for not having any game breaking WRs

No excuse for not having a dual threat QB

No excuse for hiring your best buddy to replace Monken. That guy should have been paid whatever he asked for.

"stop talking about the bigger picture..."

We've heard you dude, so why don't you just stop talking period? This is a message board and folks can talk about positives as well as the negatives. And there were lots of positives.

This is cope but when you look at each game, minus the 2020 game and the 2021 SECCG, all of those games came down to the 4thQ. They were 50/50 games and we are 1-4. Which seems like bad luck.

In each matchup Bama has had a difference maker at QB and a insane WR. Those probably push the odds to 60/40 in their favor.

We need freak WRs

I had hoped after the 2019 LSU loss that we'd place a bigger emphasis on elite QB and WR recruiting.

As David Pollack recently said, we have a lot of good offensive players, but not great ones. That's the difference in games like this.

The only time we beat Alabama was after Metchie and Williams got hurt, and it came down to the wire!

Monken was going to the NFL no matter what Kirby offered him.

Hiring Bobo again was a huge mistake by Kirby.

OK. Agreed. We shouldn’t be 1-6 or whatever the record is. What are you hoping to gain from this complaint? Nobody here has anything to do with the results.

I would have at least matched whatever he was offered to see his response. There’s no reason Georgia couldn’t have gotten someone equal to or better than him. Bobo ain’t even in the same ballpark.

Like I said in my other post, at night in their house also were working against us. That said, this was the biggest stage and at a minimum our defense should’ve done a lot better in Q1. That’s the difference between this and those other games going all the way back to 2008.

I'm not an anti-Bobo guy, but there were concerns.

Why didn't we have any preparation for that zero blitz? Lovett was eating in space and it seemed like 19 times in the first half their DBs were 12 yards off in an obvious man blitz.

Ray Charles could see the quick pass to Lovett was a guaranteed 10+ yards but it took twenty minutes to adjust.

We were underutilizing receivers. It seemed like we didn't do any work with Young on that fade route, which makes no sense since he's the only guy on the team who can make that work.

Are the backs just bad catching the ball out of the backfield? Those hyper aggressive LBs could have been taken advantage of, but we didn't even really try.

Like who? Who could UGA have gotten that is better than Monken?

I think Bobo is a fine OC but do think that we could use an “outsider” in the building. Since Monken left, we’ve really struggled getting games going. Some outside perspective might help in the self-scouting department.

Advertise the money and they will come. You don’t have to hire unemployed people.

"What are the positives?"

Well, for starters....we got beat worse than this by Bama 2 years ago and still won the NC.

A team that can come back from being 28-0 in Bama's stadium and take the lead and nearly win?....that is a team with some fighting heart. If you don't believe that, you don't even have enough common sense to keep having a conversation with.

This team has talent and can beat anyone and we WILL get back some injured players. Need I go on, or is that for starters?

It was advertised. People knew way in advance he was leaving

Our WRs did just fine. Hard to catch when the ball isn’t where it’s supposed to be. Has he ever hit one in stride?
