The guy can flat out coach and gets the most out of his players more than any coach in college football imho. Ole miss will be a torn in LSU's side as long as he is the coach in oxford.

ETA: Ole miss was already a torn, its just a bigger one with Nutt imho.

Yeah, I was really looking forward to reading an article in the Arkansas paper this morning about how his connection to the UofA was instrumental in helping the Rebels win yesterday. I was shocked when there was nothing to be found.

Nutt is an incredible coach and his players love him. The Ole Miss offense will certainly be a force to be reckoned with next year with McCluster, Snead, and several stud tailbacks returning.

good point. It was nice to see Nutt get a win at the Cotton Bowl. I always liked him as a coach even though not many people in ark gave two shits about him. I think it was a good change address for him.

Nutt is the most underrated in the country. Even at Arkansas his teams were the most physical in the SEC. Mississippi has a lot of good talent in state every year and he will get a lot of it. He will be a contender yearly.

yes and I can not wait till next year either......

:rotflmao:

good then please Florida hire Nutt (I am sure he will be available) when Urban Meyer wins the National Championship this year and then bolts for his Notre Dame dream job.

If you think Petrino will do better than you are high. Arkansas was stupid to run him off.

He would do good anywhere imo. I don't think any smart fan would mind him being there coach. I think he is destined for a major school at some point.

If I was in charge of a team in need of a coach of course not. A team with a stable coaching situation does not. I would not take him over a Meyer or Saban but I do think he could be just as good in the right situation. I think he would of done great at Nebraska for example but they chose not to take him. Him being in the brutal SEC at these smaller schools shows how good he could be at a major job.

I'm so stoned I really am starting to believe that David...I mean Danny Nutt actually invented the "Wildcat" formation....I mean how many years did we run it prior to 06? Let's see....:crickets:

Who really cares? all these threads about Houston Nutt are just to make us look bad or worse than we actually are. No I doubt Florida, LSU, Alabama or Tennessee would want the NUTT as their coach. They just say this crap to cut on us more. We have upgraded our coaching staff and have among the top 3 or 4 coaching staffs in all the SEC. Maybe Petrino can not get it done maybe he can but the FACT that he is a lot better coach than HDN should not be in question.

We are like the 07 Bama fans our future is in front of us and we are excited about it........

Nutt took those players and made them winners immediately. Something Ogeron could never accomplish. Nutt is a great coach and motivator.
