You have to think safeties deep…don’t allow milroe to connect deep. Contain him running. Stop the run like they usually do or these days keep it in check. Live with what happens on the bubble screens RPOs force JM4 to beat you on intermediate passing 8-11 play drives. All this of course is easier said than done but UGA has the dogs to do it. Excited to see if bama defense is truly better now. It feels like it is but haven’t met an elite

If he does play, which I'm not sure if he does, he won't be anything more than a decoy. He had a 4-6 week injury and he just started jogging late last week.

At this point we might as well save him for Texas.

All the hate some Bama fans have about Millroe, he has to have a spy. We'll see if DeBore can use that to Bamas advantage. Milroe is fast but not especially quick. He can throw a deep ball with little effort.

PS - Bama has some good linemen on offense if healthy and quality RB's. May come down to how well UGA's QB plays.

May the best team win. Mistakes may decide it.

Gonna be a good game. Looking forward to it.

If he aint ready, then it might be a detriment, which is what we saw with Ladd and brock vs Bama.

The most inexplicable tactical decision I've witnessed, aside from the ill-fated fake punt in the 2018 SECCG, was deploying two spies on Milroe and maintaining that coverage for the entire game.

Situations like that prompt me to question whether Kirby's success is primarily attributable to his innate talent pool rather than his coaching expertise.

If he assigns two spies to Milroe again then I'll be convinced he's tossing the game as a show of respect to Saban.

I feel like ga will sell out to stop the run and make milroe beat us through the air. We may give up a few explosives, but our corners are solid.

If we can keep bama from running with consistency it will be a long night for bama

I think we will struggle like Kentucky thought.

The one thing I don't like about Kirby is that he waits until halftime to make adjustments. That two spy plan was a bad idea and he should have known it immediately

That's a huge key, for sure. He makes a defense adjust to him, and that is always a plus for Alabama's offense. Should be a great game.

Key to the game. If Georgia doesn't blitz a LOT, Bama will have their way with them. The key is forcing Milroe to panic pass and make Bama OC adjust play-calling to pressure. Both are the weak spot in team.

While I do tend to agree with your post in general....didn't Saban have a few questionable decisions in his career? But I, nor you, would question his coaching ability. Kirby is a very good coach. I think he had a bit of a mental block when facing Saban. Old mentor and all.

Just a note:

Our best player in the front 7 on defense this year only played 13 snaps in the SECCG last year. He had 5 pressures and 2 sacks.

I expect Bama to come out and attempt to establish the run early and often. Milroe will be a big part of our rushing attack as well with lots of called QB runs. If we are successful and force UGA to bring a safety into the box, we win unless Beck has a monster game. If not, UGA wins.

Disagree...milroe is a very inconsistent passer. I feel like running the ball will be more important than anything for both bama and uga

I agree with forcing Milroe into the intermediate passing game. Have to limit Alabama’s explosive plays.

No one is going to be able to truly establish the run in this game. It's funny to me that the media speaks of the game in ATL last year as if Bama pushed Georgia around. You were able to get first downs when you had to and there was one drive where you did get some good runs inside. Neither team ran the ball well in that game. If Georgia wins, no one is saying you ran the ball well.

Last year, you ran the ball better in the important situations than we did and put us in a spot where we had to get out of the run game. That may happen, again. I doubt either team averages 4 yards or more per carry in this game.
