... how far will they rise in polls? Would love to give them our slot but what's a realistic jump given the schedules of those in front of them?

Possibly No. 1. It will be the highest-quality win thus far. Plus, they've been blowing everyone out. They've looked unstoppable, and blowing out OU in Norman is more impressive this season than blowing out Michigan in Ann Arbor.

1-2 spots. OU looks like Michigan with a worse defense.

GA beat #14 Clemson

So…nope…

Also, UTx beat UM who was top 10.

Solid troll attempt 1/10

UM doesn't belong in the top 25.

If they blow them out (to the tune of something like 45-14) then I can see them moving up as far as second. If that "blowout" is more like 21-3... then probably they'll stay where they are.

I'm personally not a fan of using "time of game" rankings. I'm a firm believer in always using the last ranking.

So UT hasn't beat a ranked team, UGA beat #21 Clemson and Tx beat #18 Michigan.

All of the wins against currently ranked teams

#11 SoCal beat #16 LSU
#23 Northern Illinois beat #17 Notre Dame
#1 TX beat # 18 Michigan
#2 UGA beat #21 Clemson
#17 ND beat #25 A&M

That's it so far for this season when it comes to wins against currently ranked teams.

This is the only way.

So lame for teams to claim "Top 10/Top 5" wins late in the season/after the season when whatever team they beat has completely fallen off the map.

Should GT get credit for "Top 10" win when FSU is 0-3 and unranked? Hell no.

To say they aren't top 25 is laughable. #1 defense from last year that returned 10/11 starters. Best corner in CFB, and the top 2 defensive tackles in CFB. Considering A&M is a top 25 team, stating Michigan isn't is a reach.

Anyone who isn't liquidating their 401K to bet on Tenn to cover -7 is an idiot.

lol I’m tempted. I really do believe Tenn is the real deal and are going to win by 3+ touchdowns.

In fairness I haven’t actually seen OU play yet this year but I have seen Tenn and they’re dammed good. From what I’ve read about OU they’re not.

Boy, let me tell you about Tennessee sports. If it wasn't for the CWS this year and Bama two years ago, I'd have a hard time telling you about a time we didn't fall on our face in the last 20 years.

This isn't the biggest game, but it is at Oklahoma. I would not liquidate the bank account.

Tennessee looks great but is untested. Oklahoma needs to clean some things up but they’ve been tested against better competition imo. Away game, loud crowd, return of Heupel, 1st sec conference game….wouldn’t touch it.

Unless people above them lose or all have struggle wins against bad teams, they're not going from 6 to 1 for beating Oklahoma.

Assuming #s 1-5 win, it's more likely Tennessee stays where they are than jump to #1.

I agree.

People need to remember that teams at the bottom of the top 25 have a lot of flaws. Clemson and Michigan aren't championship level teams. But they are easily top 25 teams and have reasonable shot of making the back end of the playoff field if things fall right for each of them in a few key games. Heck, right now Clemson is more likely to make the playoff field than not. They don't play Miami in the regular season. Their only opponent currently ranked other than UGA is #19 Louisville. I'd favor Clemson in that one. South Carolina might be their actual toughest game remaining but it's at home. I think Clemson may be 11-1 going into their CCG and be in win or lose.
