Question for the anti Milroe crowd

Through three games our starting quarterback has accounted for 14 touchdowns and zero interceptions. We’re constantly hearing he’s not good enough to win.
My question is insert Ty with the same stat line would you be openly calling for him to be benched? This is an impressive stat line so far. Please answer honestly…………

His deep ball throws Saturday were absolutely beautiful.

Are you really so dumb that you can't grasp what people criticize about him?
He has flaws. They may or may not bite us in the arse when we finally face a good defense. We'll see. But, it's natural for non-cheerleaders to point out areas of concern.

At one point one of those criticisms was ints and turnover machine

His deep ball is NFL level elite and something that seems to be overlooked a lot is his drastic improvement running the read option/zone read from last season. That's a glaring omission for the people who say he's shown no improvement and is the same old Jalen.
I've also seen him go through multiple reads several times this season examples being his 2nd TD to Williams in game one and his TD to Cuevas Saturday. Sure there's still some deficiencies in his game but there's still guys saying he's a running back playing QB.
There's a happy medium between saying he's an elite QB and saying he isn't a real QB. The people who take it to one extreme or the other are equally annoying.

It looked improved against Wisconsin. Definitely want to see more of it. Being able to make defenses respect that look will open up a lot of other stuff.

Agree. I thought Saturday was one of his best performances though which is a good sign.

Why start with the name calling? Maybe I've missed something but can't we be civilized on our board? Make an argument, die on that hill but do it with civility. Just a suggestion, I personally have seen to much to argue with people over nothing.

He's an okay runner and a great deep ball passer.
He also stares down his target and doesn't throw to check downs. Sometimes makes poor lane decisions when running.

It was his best performance. As a supporter of his I do wish we could see him able to hit crossing routes or something a little more complicated so that we’re not just depending on our WR to get behind the defense for explosive plays. Maybe that’s in the playbook and Bama just has not run that yet but it would be nice to see us hit intermediate passing plays. Just don’t want to get against a good defense that has corners that can cover our WR if they’re just running go routes.
I’d also like to see Ty get some drives when the game is on the line for no other reason than Milroe is a physical QB, if he gets hurt I don’t want to throw Simpson out there against the rest of our SEC opponents when we’re facing good defenses. In a way Ewers getting hurt for Texas since it’s not a serious injury probably helps Texas because even though it’s a nobody opponent the game is on Archie

Every QB does. His just get hyper-magnified.
He's really really good and last week was an example of him answer some questions we all had about his development.
It's weird everyone in the college football world outside of our fanbase and SEC rival trolls admit that and see how scary he could be if he gains the consistency and puts together to small things

It's amazing what he can do when the offensive line does their job correctly, huh?

You should be suspended from the board for posting something so dumb.

Yea dude come on. He runs like a deer. Sometimes a deer runs into a car, most of time they don’t.

That is 100% absolutely never going to happen. No coach on earth is pulling their starting QB in a close game just to give the backup experience in a high pressure situation.

Milroe is not a great runner. He is very fast, but he doesnt have vision and feel for defenders the way the great runners do.
Shaun Alexander was a great runner. He didnt have great speed, but he had tremendous vision and patience. Barry Sanders had a radar for defenders he couldnt even see. Why was Trent Richardson a failure in the nfl?
Milroe runs the ball like nobody i can remember. He doesnt break a lot of tackles, he mostly just outruns people. He's very upright, whereas Hurts would get low and run people over. He is a good runner, and it is effective. But he hasnt found greatness yet.
Those are RB comps so that is kinda apples to oranges. One of the closest physical QB comps is Cam Newton. Big and strong QB that is usually the top athlete on the field. But is he anywhere close to Cam as a runner? I dont think so. Jalen would win a foot race between both in their college prime. But is he as dangerous?

Milroe runs like Matt Jones from Arkansas. That's the best comp I can think of. Great at straight line speed, not a lot of wiggle. Very dangerous. He has broken off several runs of 20+ yards and had several called back due to penalties.
No DC in the SEC would say Milroe is an "okay runner".
